So Hetzer will at least be a decent cost, but still 8cp is pretty late and Flamers on SturmPios still seems like a downgrade(like G43 on PZGrens). For a commander that is going to directly compete with Scavenge, it is still not up to par.
Allow Volks to get Flamers, but disable Shreks on purchase. Decrease MP refund rate on the 2CP ability to compensate and not encourage too much Volk blobbing. The muni costs of all this will keep it under control and not make it ridiculous (some players are afraid of raoming flamer and Shrek Volk blobs, but the muni cost on this would be very high and USF riflemen already do it better). |
Gib Volks more AI (rifle damage from 10 to 12), redesign the shreck into a PzFaust-like ability*, increase Volks cost to 240 (although it doesn't really matter) and be done with it.
I honestly prefer a snare to the current shreck.
* You buy the shreck upgrade for 90 muni but instead of getting a shreck, Volks get the ability to fire a shreck - for free because you have to buy it for every squad individually.
Same range/cooldown as PzFausts but penetration/damage of shrecks.
The results:
- rifle damage from 10 to 12 basically increases their DPS to a value slightly below Grens
- A-moving Volks blobs (with shrecks) won't work (anymore) against vehicles
- Shrecks basically get less range/higher cooldown compared to bazookas in exchange for 100% accuracy (same as PzFausts) and the ability to snare vehicles
- Volks don't lose a weapon slot

Previewing Vet 5 Hetzer and the thing is god awful, fast, but low damage, low armor, and same HP as Jagdpanzer (it died in 3-4 hits from a Vet 0 Pershing); for apparently 135 fuel. Vet 5 Hetzer sat in front of blobbed Vet 0 Cons and took about 1 minute to kill 3 squads.... The Ostwind looks way better and cheaper and can shoot down planes.
The rocket strike was a normal Stuka barrage, but in a circle, but I believe someone said it costed 200 munis; but it came about the same time a normal Rocket strike would (still kind of expensive for a single barrage).
Flamers on Strums at mid range looked like it was about the same DPS, or slightly less than the Stg44 it replaces, in an open field. So it is only worth it on city maps with lots of buildings to garrison.
The MP ability is I believe 80 munis, but only lasts 30 seconds; although it did give back an impressive amount of MP.
So overall I am not paying money for this commander unless the stats and costs are tweaked before release. And if I do get one in a drop I still don't think this comes close to being playable. Enjoy your Pershing USF, OKW has to choke on this garbage. |
Yeah but u have panther which is also non doctrinal and it's way way better than other meds (look on front armor for ex) , so...

I could see 1CP sooner for Valentine and the Sexton needs some stats more mirrored to the Priest, with a few downgrades due to it coming out faster and being cheaper. |
Is Recoup Losses muni-activated for a short time period or passive once you hit the CPs? The muni-activaed ones suck. |
I do think the no autoface can be effective, Relic is clearly intent on not giving OKW a non-doc MG and the doc one is meh, so insta-pin light howie I have to turn towards an assault doesn't sound too bad. |
Wouldn't the flamethrowers lower the overall DPS of Sturms though? Would be great if Volks got something for close range AI, I always like when my Volks pick up a Flamethrower makes them SO much better. |

Do they realise that the Brits need some fixes/buffs too? Not just nerf nerf nerf?
If they continue on this path of "balancing" I'm finished with this game...
They are giving Brits two HUGE early game buffs where they are weakest. More powerful WASP damage and cheaper Tommy reinforce cost. L2R! |
