I believe that the RE should be the ultimate support engineer - weak weapon, very low DPS, but able to do lots of terrain modifications. They should be able to make sandbags (like the AssaultPlazma's suggestion), their volley should be a little better, they should lay those weak AT mines (that should be laid in groups of 3 by default) and maybe they could be a little faster to build stuff.
Maybe it wouldn't change much to USF's early game, but sure would give options. |
I've wondered this like my whole life lol.
It's a variant of ass, and yes, it's way more used in british english. Actually, in movies it's one of those words that actors seem to oversay just to point how great their britsh english is. |
I don't know, I've been playing a lot of OKW right now, and clearly when my obers hit the field the game changes a lot. I don't have any issue with them, but I think they should cost something like 380 MP. My last games at least one squad of obers reached vet5, it was glorious murderino all day long.
Thing is, they shouldn't go up front. They work great with a screen of volks, sturms or fussies. Like the flaktrak, they work great as support. |
Ha ha that would've been even greater
"And then, while playing heavily to compensate for my AFK, one of my teammates typed something about being a customs officer, I told him afterwards about my problems, guess what? It was the same guy. He told me to rush to the airport, and he personally wrote something on my passport, and I now I can go anywhere because of my diplomatic visa.
What a great day." |
Trash talk sure ruins the experience, but hey, welcome to humanity. I just wish I could have some "mute" button, that could be always ON and I would be rid of any comunication, including "hf gl", "wp", "gg" and "fak iu" |
I always saw the T4 as the "alternate tier" for ostheer - you should make the choice between T3 or T4. If you have the micro, it should pay off.
As a 1v1 player, I made a few brummbars, it was always very fun. The pwerfer always let me down, though, but I think I lack the micro to make it worth it. I always manage to lose it in a silly way. |
Right now I'm a OKW player. I'm learning more about the faction. It's cool, it requires a different set of skills and the units get really great with vet, although preservation is not my strength. |
I think it should all be hidden. Faction, commanders, bulletins, even dialogue. No more "hey, gl hf" or "gg, wp". |
Makes me wonder why Nullist can't come back. Anyway, I too believe that volley fire is a sure way to waste 20 muni. Though Katitof's suggestion is very nice, I think that a little more suppressive capacity would be nice. It takes way too long to work. |
How to fix Oustruppen the Doctrine.
- Remove 25% received accuracy of Oustruppen but raise the price slightly (apply this to all oustruppen regardless of doctrine)
- Make the bonus they get work in buildings and trenches
I don't think that they should cost more than 200 MP - the whole point of them is being dirt cheap and easily replaceble. I actually think they are fine, even with the received acc.
- Replace the conversion of fuel to munitions with a passive conversion of fuel to manpower (like 20% less fuel income but 33% more MP income)
- Make trench more durable and unable to be garrisoned by enemy troops but cost manpower
The first idea is nice, but the "humf" that the doctrine has is the fuel to muni conversion. I don't know how it would be with that rate of MP income, but certainly it would be a lot of guys running around, cashes everywhere.
A trench with a cost and more durable, not usable by the enemy... Hmm, isn't it a "bunker"?
- Replace railway artillery with the Command Panther; which gives it's bonus's to infantry and tanks but only has 3 levels of veterancy and no mark target.
That is a great idea.
This way the doctrine is more about supporting massed infantry rather than just being a gimmick doctrine were you spam railway at the end and forget Oustruppen exist because the fuel to muni conversion allows you to spam Shrek Pgrens and LMG grens.
I use it a lot in 1v1's. Ostruppen are good even in late game, specially to rearm those weapons that stood around... Like that achievement says. |
