A Dev needs to look deep inside the game files to figure out why it does this. The Maxim has a much simpler design. Have you noticed that when you tell the M2HB to change the angle a bit he picks up the MG then runs in a small circle then deploy with the desired angle? I noticed it and was wondering did the guy actually thought that running in a circle is fun? I believe that the M2HB and Maxim use the same design because if you see the Maxim it happens once in a while but never happens for the German MGs. In: COH2 Bugs

To someone more versed in the stats - is that a reasonable assessment, or am I just seeing things? CE use the same rifle with the same stats. I've visited the COH2 stats page, but the information is a bit too technical for me to understand. I am aware that their damage seems to be nearly half of most T1 infantry. This might seem to be asking for too much from the community, but I really wish some could lay out the information in a way that is more easily understandable. What is the raw damage they deal when hitting a target? I would prefer it not be DPS. What is their accuracy when not behind cover? When behind cover? How long is their reinforcing time? What are the damage of other T1 infantry? This includes Conscripts, Grenadiers, VolksGrenadiers and Riflemen. A big thank you beforehand! Damage; Osttruppen: 8 damage Conscript: 16 damage Grenadiers: 16 damage VolksGrenadiers: 10 damage Riflemen: 8 damage Accuracy Osttruppen: Near 0.45 Far 0.35 Conscript: Near 0.45 Far 0.3 Grenadiers: Near 0.7 Far 0.6 VolksGrenadiers: Near 0.65 Far 0.55 Riflemen: Near 0.6 Far 0.5 What makes the Riflemen so strong is that they fire their guns more frequently than their German and Soviet counterparts. You could just raise the popcap on mainline infantry if you really thought this was an issue. Also just to be clear, in the end it really was only US infantry with the ridiculous upkeep. As a simple example, conscripts with their upkeep of 9 are actually more expensive than a squad of KCH (8), and the exact same cost as Commandos (9). I'm pretty sure Conscripts would in fact be the most expensive infantry unit upkeep wise ignoring US units. I guess I worded my original post badly, mainline infantry in CoH2 is RELATIVELY cheaper than in CoH1 purely because support weapons and tanks are much more expensive in upkeep. Oops my bad I guess. Yes I agree with raising the popcap of core infantry. In: COH2 Gameplay

In CoH2, the upkeep is a constant applied to your popcap (-1.5mp/min currently, and probably unlikely to change). Generally speaking basic infantry upkeep is cheaper in CoH2 than in CoH1 while the upkeep on all specialist infantry and vehicles is higher. In CoH1, every single unit had its own upkeep value, many of which made no sense whatsoever. But apparently the fact that the super high upkeep on mainline infantry limited spamming them makes it such a superior system despite all the horribly stupid things it had otherwise (Wehr sniper upkeep half of a rifleman squad, Ostwind upkeep less than a rifle squad etc) The old system needs to come back. Getting tired of seeing rifle spam, volks spam, PF spam, fallschirmjager spam, etc etc. In: COH2 Gameplay
