Thread: Grens vs riflemen16 Sep 2014, 07:50 AM early game opinions for US: Riflemen and RE. early game opinions for WM: Grens, MG42, Sniper, mortar, Pios. 1. Use combined arms as a WM player 2. I feel like most of the time most of the squad survives with few health. I guess the dmg modifier is the reason, but still feels different than most engagements that are on the "open". Everything I say now is just guessing. I think the main reason why open battles feel different comes down to 2 points. 1. On open Ground Soldiers are often more spread out and it is more likely that at the beginning of a fight only one is visible. The Soldier that is the first to be seen is the takes all bullets from the enemy squad, that can bring him low at the beginning of the fight and most likely he dies way earlier than the others. 2. If some Soldiers of a Squad are behind Cover and others aren`t (like Trees), the Soldier that isn`t in Cover takes way more dmg and dies faster than his comrades. Since this 2 Points doesn`t exist for squads in houses or trenches the engagements against them can feel different Like I said, I`m just guessing. In: COH2 Gameplay

Originally economy was about 33% of the other factions, now Munitions is 100% and as Cruzz pointed out Fuel is about 70% the income when you compare the teching Costs. That is not fully right. The Trucks in the beta gave 100% ressouce income in the sector they were set up. The Problem was that the OKW in that time of the beta just defended this 3 sectors (T4 also only cost 40 fuel that time) and dont cared about the rest of the map. It just did everything to cut of the allies. I think Relic wanted to change that and because of that they used the current system. In: COH2 Gameplay

It is the same like saying: Why can’t the Germans equip all Inf with all weapons like the USAF. Why can`t all Tank crews repair their tanks. Why can’t all Inf Sprint or build sandbags and trenches. Why can’t all Inf merge. Why can DP-28 button a Tank, an Mg42 not. I can do this for an hour but I think everyone is getting my point. To be completely honest, I would have given the Soviets 5 Vet, because they had the worst trained soldiers, that means they can learn the most on the battlefield. 4 Vet for WM and USAF because they had a solid basic training and 3 Vet for OKW because they have the best trained and veteran soldier’s right from the start. But I will never believe Relic will change the system, so these are just some useless Ideas from me. In: COH2 Gameplay

One tipp with the MP bleed with Guards, use merge as much as you can, since the Inf change in march, there is no downside in merging conscripts with guards. And Iam not sure if a T4 is worth it if you build only 1 Su85, because you pay nearly as much fuel as 2 additional T34/85. I would need a replay to give further advice. Here is a link to a youtube video were a Soviet Player with T4 and T34/85 but without guards beats a german Player with Pz4 and Tiger Ace build order. That was the closest vid that I could find, that fits the matchup you descript. Here the K98K modifiers vs garrisoned units as an example: Garrison suppression: 0.0 Garrison penetration: 1.0 Garrison accuracy: 0.55 Garrison damage: 0.5 All Data for all weapons vs all types of cover can be found on www.coh2-stats.com . 2. Doesnt matter. 3. The sniper accuracy modifiers can be found by his weapon, the final chance to hit is 2x modifiers, because his base accuracy is 2. In: COH2 Gameplay

All multi attack strafes work the same. After the first attack the aircrafts starts to search for a new target, while doing this it is flying circles. It can only pick targets inside the displayed circle. As soon as it picked a target it stops circling and starts to prepare the attack. If the targeted unit leaves the circle now it doesn`t matter, the Aircraft will attack the unit even if the unit teleports from one side of the map to the other. The only way to avoid an attack is to leave the circle bevor the Aircraft chooses a target. In: COH2 Balance

But yea, okw late game is beyond op in a 4v4. If relic achives to balance 4vs4 without screwing 1vs1 balance or mirror the factions I applaud them.
