Title says it all really. I recall it was changed a while back for Ost medics (and possibly others?) because they spent all their time chasing infantry instead of healing the ones right in front of them.
Well, OKW medics are doing just that currently. I guess the change was either missed for OKW, or accidentally reverted. For that reason, I figure it's worthy of the 'bug' category.

the new grenades are crap...their timer and the low dmg ...MGs in houses doesnt need to be afraid..they will lose 1-2 models It's not about killing them. Even bundled grenades rarely do that. Yeah, um, that's exactly what I just said. The 2D effects are terribly optimised, but they are literally the *only* thing in the game that will use much of your GPU, and they don't happen much. The rest of the time both the GPU and CPU remain very underutilised simply due to poor game code failing to feed the CPU enough, which then fails to feed the GPU enough. Simply put: You can't overcome this game's poor code with high-end hardware. Past a certain point, any benefits are marginal. |

Well, if COH2 is your only concern, I would strongly suggest putting as much of your money into the best Intel CPU you can afford. I'd be hesitant to game on a Pentium though. See if you can get a Core i3 at the least. This is the second time I've seen someone mention AA performance issues, but I'm not sure what people are basing that on. The only thing I can think of is they don't have enough VRAM since the in-game options are good old brute-force MSAA. 4GB is a reasonable amount for this game though, and I can't see any reason for it to get worse as the match goes on. That's just a CPU/bad game code thing, as far as I'm aware. You can also just force newer AA methods from Nvidia control panel instead of in-game AA. That would free up a lot of GPU power. |

But with i5 7600k and gtx 1070 you will probbly run the game with low AA means fxaa. And its fine as 60 fps stable???? I don't think COH2 does FXAA, just MSAA. I could be wrong, but you can definitely disable it in-game and force FXAA through the Nvidia Control Panel. A GTX1070 will be very underutilised as the game goes on. The game engine is just very poor at using CPUs properly (similar to PUBG), which means the GPU doesn't get enough instructions to keep it running at full capacity. You'll notice very little difference between the two CPUs you've mentioned. I'd go for the 6-core just for the advantages that those extra cores will provide in other applications and games. As others have mentioned, the larger the map and the longer the match runs for, the more your CPU and FPS will choke. That hardware should keep 1v1 matches reasonably above 60fps for most, if not all, of the game though. No need to upgrade your CPU. COH2 is more GPU heavy anyways. Your CPU wont limit your FPS Uh, no. The exact opposite. The only time any modern GPU is likely to struggle in this game is smoke and fire particle effects are happening, which is very much another optimisation issue. |

Some anecdotal impressions from a few matches. Stuff I wasn't sure about:Hetzer still feels incredibly underwhelming. What's its intended role? I wouldn't want it to be a crocodile, but it does currently seem to require a completely static target to have any hope of doing damage, in which case I can't see any reason to use it over the other plentiful flame options. I enjoyed the rest of the commander though. Airborne Assault seemed to be very confused. Most of the time it would just shoot the ground in the center of the circle despite complete line of sight on 2 KV-1s. Then it shot a KV-1 that was in the fog of war (possibly exposed by infrared truck) and might not have even been in the circle. Has anyone else found it to be weird? Guard Rifle Combined Arms Tactics was pretty full-on to fight against. I definitely expect people to use it in future. I only played against them once, but KV-1s were formidable. My Panther and JP4 shots just kept bouncing, and I don't think armour changes are even part of this patch. Snares and flanking look like a must for tackling them. Recon Support felt flexible, but boy does it require a serious ammo income. Stuff I Loved:The Le.ig feels potent now. The smoke barrage was very rewarding in my push against a VP. Building exit times are definitely in a sweet spot. Slow enough to make me panic when a grenade or artillery shell is coming, but fast enough that it feels responsive. Love the Falls paradrop change. Infiltration wasn't just cheesy, it was also way too situational. The risk/reward factors are great now, along with a more accessible cost for their squishiness. So glad volksgrenadier flame nades now have a timer. Volksgrenadier Assault Upgrade does a good job of being better than regular infantry, but countered by elite infantry. Valuable without being an autoclick. KT nerfs against infantry are definitely noticeable, as is improved spacing for Ostheer infantry. I was definitely always trying to weigh the cost/benefit of a FRP. In: Lobby |
