The problems is more the Maxim than the Flame nade IMO.
The maxim is simply bugged which leads to a full unit kill many times while standing inside the flames.

Otherwise each of the two abilities has its pros and cons.

Molotov pro:
Costs less, Available right after research (no need for T1/T2, can be researched quickly with only little fuel cost)

Molotov con:
Long ass animation, needs separate research

Incendiary pro:
Faster throwing animation, comes without research

Incendiary con:
Costs double the munitions on an already munitions starved faction, one nade is one mine less.
Needs 40 fuel to be "researched" (comes later than the molotov).


In addition the incendiary is the only reliable building cleaner the OKW has before/without Medic HQ.

Close Air Support, StuG E, Stug G, Flame 251 (some weeks after CoH2 release), Elite Troops Doctrine, Königskübel, Blitzkrieg Ability

Cool = OP


So you see every faction has and had its OP stuff (and as a good German I'm convinced that OST and OKW had much less OP stuff over the time ).
But still the PaK43 is everything but OP.
It doesn't change the fact that the Brit Pounder Emplacement sucks ass. But only because the one faction has a sucky emplacement doesn't mean that the other one has to suck that bad too.

There is one problem still left:
How do I counter flame tanks in 1v1 as OKW?

I had a game against Hector some days ago and it was a close one (in my opinion) in the early/mid game. The map was mostly split in half the whole time and I managed to bleed his MP a lot but after the KV8 arrived the gg arrived 2 minutes later.

Map was Kholodny Ferma and I started on the left. I also got a JP4 which only bounced the KV8 like a Basketball. My 4 Volksgrenadiers with Shrecks died in seconds and the Raketenwerfer only faced the KV8 with it's ass until it burned to ashes.

I had to get out the JP4 soon because his T70 brought fear to my troops. Fuel for Panther was not enough and mun for mining was not enough.

Hector surely played better than me but I just want to know how to counter these tanks because they destroy every inf and paks in seconds and there is no tank that penetrates it reliabely other than the Panther/KT.

If I got more Raketenwerfers, his Schocks would have even wiped me more than they already did.

I also don't think that it's UP. It's in a pretty decent state atm.
The reason it's not played very often is because it's not in the medic HQ that's the current meta because of the LeIG.

It's finally coming? Holy crap this could be good.
