Thread: Current 1v1 Meta15 Jun 2015, 12:09 PM IMO soviets are by far the strongest faction in 1v1 and in addition in 2v2. Their guard motor tactics are ridiculously powerful. The German player, if unlucky, will bleed a lot of manpower due to 120mm and is not able to wipe soviet troops most of the time because of the large soviet squad sizes. USF is very strong but has no heavy tanks late game. Though the Americans are very strong because they usually win the game before the end phase arrives. In: COH2 Gameplay

A more durable, more generally effective medium that can be countered by AT guns and tank destroyers fairly easily. I would rather see the IS2 become more like the Tiger in terms of armor and damage. The lethality of the IS2 is the combination of it's super strong front armour that deflects 50% of all shots an the fire barrage/shocks that can effectively wipe out even a PaK wall in seconds. Thread: Guard Motor Solution?14 Jun 2015, 19:48 PM Guard motor is simply the best chance to win right now for soviets. So is CAS/Mechanized assault for Ostheer and Elite Rifle for US. All of the mentioned doctrines need nerfs. You can simply see Guard Motor more often because it's not premium. I do neither own Mechanized Assault, nor Elite Rifle. Sure, I would play them if I had them, who wouldn't? It's just to be able to compete with your enemy. And there's the problem: It's not good if some commanders are simply way superior then others. Said commanders simply don't have many downsides. Every ability in them is rather useful. Nerf what is too good and buff what is never played. In: Lobby
