Hi , i have this issue after years of coh2. Unable to open the invite UI cause community in game setting is disabled.
I didn't change anything, i don't know if it's related at some update.
I will appreciate some advices. Thank you.

Ha, I think I know what you mean, I had (and likely still have) the issue as well. This started when the STEAM client was updated a few weeks ago.

Since then, I had problems specifically using the friendlist in Steam (although checking out the workshop etc. is flaky as well). "Problems" means that when clicking on the friendslist nothing happens and eventually I get the message that the steam server could not be contacted. Typically, the problem randomly disappears after a while.

Now, CoH2 uses Steam to invite friends. When steam is having problems retrieving the friendslist, so does CoH2. So, I guess you have the same problem, so maybe you want to google how to fix this steam problem.

As a workaround for CoH2: Open a public game, let your friends check the list of public games (which does not rely on steam) and join yours, kick all others and switch to automatch. Worked for us (sorry to everybody I kicked

Alot of people just use the LOOKING FOR GROUP chat as well to pick people not on their friends list.

Katitof: Its not even close to me even at my worst in the past, imagine ullu, incendiary, aaa, vetlolcake and disto merge into one mega axis zord with forcefield protecting it from accepting any factual data. Add to that a victim card(his rumblings at my PM).
