Should there be an immunity added to propaganda suppression and forced retreat. When a german officer is in the vicinity of its units. Because I am quite sure an Officer would be able to rile up the german soldiers in its area of influence. For both the obercommando sturm officer and the whermacht officer.

Why bother from a gameplay point of view? Prop war is underused enough as is.

And I assume also the USF luitendend, captain and major? The OKW also have propaganda war, and it works even better than Soviet propaganda war.

Propaganda war is pretty much instant without any warning smokes. You as a german player have no time to react, any other call-in gives you time to dodge. prop war doesn't. Since its also a commander I sometimes use, Its specially effective against OKW. Since you cannot cover certain areas as okw, no bunkers no vanilla mg. You have to defend with a high number of units when the enemy decides to attack with multiple squads from multiple directions it. Since they have prop war they can make you retreat a chunk of your units leaving your units in a pinch. So you are doomed as a german player to lose that engagement everytime.

And when you must retake it and you have to attack. He can just prop war half your units back leaving the rest of the units no chance to retake it. cooldown of prop war is short

Giving the officers some anti prop war aura would solve it since it would be a commander vs commander defuser

And I assume also the USF luitendend, captain and major? The OKW also have propaganda war, and it works even better than Soviet propaganda war.

OKW propaganda war can only force retreat 1 squad and it gives a bonus to the enemy squads who were nearby that squad who was forced retreated. Soviet propaganda denies an area for every enemy infrantie unit.

Coming to propaganda immunity aura. I would add it to the major, not the leftenant or captain

Propaganda is not instantaneously, it takes about 10 seconds to arrive. You get an audio warning in the form of arty shells firing in the distance. Whether the propaganda strikes actually do anything is a role of the dice and units more often than not have time to walk out of the AOE without even getting suppressed. It's also present in commanders that are really not that good to begin with, only terror tactics is decent.

Also OKW propaganda might not actually inspire other units to fight harder; at least one of the 2 abilities the OKW officer has has nothing in the code that gives the enemy actual bonuses. It's only something written in the description.

Lets indirectly nerf one of the least useful off-maps, because reasons.

Someone have confused artillery officer, who is pretty much a spotter that makes decisions with wh40k commissar. Or even NKVD commissar.

Personally, I think Propaganda War should only add instant suppression, but never pin or retreat. This incentivizes Soviet players to take advantage with HMGs and such while not simply pressing an instant retreat button that halts an enemy advance without having to divert troops, while still making German units vulnerable to easy attack because of instant suppression.

This turns Fear Prop into a much larger version of RETs Suppressive Fire ability.

Remember vCOH Prop from Terror? The COH2 version is frankly quite sucky.

it would need to cover the entire map if had the effectiveness of the RET ability or else the enemy could just move out of the way without even realising it was activated
