I was watching soviet Storm: WW2 in the Eastern Front when it hit me:
Why don't we just allow up-gunning of the T-34/76 at, let's say 12 command points?
This would give the soviets a fighting chance against Axis armor without being forced to rely on the SU-85 too much.
In my opinion this would solve so many complaints about Soviet armor.

So you want t-34/85s to cost 2/3 of their current price in leghtening games? Maybe even nondoctrinal? That makes no sense. Only upgun, actually a side-tech, t-34/76 could use is the 57mm AT gun it was really produced with in small numbers. That way it would work like pgrens - either AI or AT version, you choose which one is better.

And regarding OP, no, its a bad idea.
I would buff its hull and coax MGs, so it would rely on MGs mostly vs inf and call it a day.
If you expect to fight heavier armor, go for doctrinal armor or get some SU-85s or spam SU-76s.
Maybe it's 'cause the Axis players aren't a bunch of forum crybabies, and they keep their cool and fight the uphill battle, unlike some of their "allied" counterparts.

I don't need 75 or 85.
As Allies I need more Anti tanks options + inderctly support it.
What it means?
Reliable AT gun. Means perfct accuracy. Perfect Penetration. Good ANTI tank vet Ability.
Good AT hand weapon as support.
Dedicated Antitank mine.
Cheap infantry squad with extened vision.
This is pretty much it I need.
I find all med and hevy tanks are ok from both side (exept Ace and Gunner on top of Panther)
And reduce ANTI tank options and support it from Axis.
Thats it.

Yeah yeah, the SU-85 is a certified tank sniper. I know.
Your suggestion would also not be that bad, but what would really seal the deal is a DSHK for 60 Muni.

Right now the whole conception of t34 is wrong: 85's should be a non doctrinal main tank, and 76's some kind of reserve\support tank, cuz in the end of the war there was only few 76's, and billions 85's. But i guess, there's no chance to lelic change this. Btw, almost same situation with guards and penals, but its not so critical, only a bit hilarious..

I was merely emphasizing that this is what, in my humble opinion, what would solve a problem that's been causing furor since the beginning of this game, since the medium tank of a any faction is a big deal.

Well well the political correctness police has struck again! Apparently two words in english are forever tied to the holocaust now and cannot be used without causing offense (despite no one having complained in the 1 hour age of this thread so far)

Why is swiftsabre a mod again? All i have ever seen from him is censoring/banning people for making jokes, taking it personal and going hyper defensive when people complain about his nonsense. Just increase the hull and coalax mg and the t-34 will be fine. It is just relics desing to make t34/76 the least powerfull medium tank and the cheapest.
