The real fix would be to make it non-doctrinal - add something usefull to the doctrine. The WC51 is great, but mediocre for a call in unit. The unit would add alot to the USF early game.


The problem with that is m20 just superior in like every way. It's literally only viable very early. So not only would they have to cut the fuel, they would need the stats to reflect the cost.

Soviet M3 need T1 to build, WC51 is buildable in T0, WC51 can be refit to 75% of resources, M3 cannot, but its DOCTRINAL

You dont know how to use it != useless

You should post in Gameplay Section, or Strategy section, just ask for guidance instead of crying for imbalance when you dont know the WC51 HP to start

Kubel is a cap unit than can do some damage, WC51 is an "aggressive" unit, used to chase No AT units, Hunt kubels

Why are you comparing them when they have nothing in common ?

Sure but the versatility of WC51 is there non the less. Making it a standard unit in the HQ will give players a choice. WC51 and delay tech, but have some mobile early presence. It would really fit the USF, but right now it is stuck in a commander that is clearly outshined by other commander options and therefore a rare sight in coh2.

How can they not be compared they are both inf harassment. Besides I mentioned several times that afterwards the price should be reflected in stats.

Putting a rifle squad in it is pretty effective. Simply drive by forward MG, let the riflemen jum out and voila, early game succes.

WC51 is fine (maybe lower price to 15F).
The problem is not WC51 but the rest of the doctrine which is meh.
You dont have any elite infantry, so you must rely on Rifles with 2x BARs which is damn expensive when you consider that whle doctrine is heavy on ammo (recon and off map).


PS
Tho WC51 is losing heavily to Bren Carries which is the reason why it should be a bit cheaper.

Did you pull these numbers out of a hat?

You get 150 manpower and 15 fuel back.

In this case, you probably are unable to counter murdering everything M3 scout car without a Stug or Elephant as M3 is superior in every single way to WC51.

Kubel cant auto repair (yes with a lot of vet, but who cares), kubel cant fix engine crit in 2 sec, kubel is cone of fire limited, now that kubel lost suppression, its more used as a fast cap unit

Thanks for the corrections guys, I seem to recall it was only 5 fuel, seems I was wrong.
In that case, the wc51 is fine. The doc brought me to top 10 in 2s anyway.

It's an "all in" strategy though, losing the wc51 without it getting wipes or sufficiënt harass can cost you the game.

Seems they fixed it. I will not guaranteed that it works on all vehicles although.

M3 should be a 250 HT clone at least. Buff HP to start with.

It's a bug I posted on the alpha forums, here but still not fixed.

If you decrew your vehicle, stats will be erased.
So in the end you might end up with 10 000dmg with Sherman but with efficiency around 60% :snfPeter:
