Anyways, we all knew how awfull the OKW was. Fun Facts for the panicked allied player:


- Volks are still trash, slightly better than the ostrup while costing %25 more and lacking 1 model.
- Veterancy requirement still untouched, GL witnessing Vet5 OKW units
- Luchs costs as much as a T70 with no PEN.
- BGHQ/FLAKHQ map lock down meta almost dead.
- Sturm still suck.
- leIG still worst pice of arty, lost its only useful utility.
- No more kubel abuse on USF players fuel point lol.


Kubel abuse was never my problem, okw doesnt need leIG now, but its sad that it got such a huge nerf, sturms were one of few good units okw had, ofc not in masses, HQ is even easier to replace with the change, before you at least had to wait for it, and BGHQ is even cheaper to replace when you think of full fuel gain. Luchs is doesnt even loose against t-70, it doesnt win either but they can fight for a long time before somebody helps with shreck or at-gun. I dont really know what you are talking about with vet5 okw units, I got them in every single game as okw, especially on volks. This also answers your first statement, volks may not be best infantry in game but they were always solid, now they are like every other infantry which would be completely ok if not the shreck part.

Veterancy Rank 1 requirements decreased from 2730 to 1560
Veterancy Rank 2 requirements decreased from 5460 to 3120
Veterancy Rank 3 requirements decreased from 10920 to 6240


I heard rumors that once hetzer hit vet1 it gets decent

I don´t think a 12 min Panther is a problem. Zooks or Pak´s can deal with that pretty good. I would not need a Panther at that mark, more likely PIV.

Personally I am more afraid of the new shreck blob with buffed Volks.

In addition to that Rear Echelon blob is a new possibility since they are cheap and deal the same damage against infantry as old Volks and zooks got buffed.

Fast Luchs may be a problem too, I haven´t tested it against human enemies. Although it is not as strong as old Centaur was, where I had to build a JP IV at 8-9 mins in order to survive...


Despite all that I am happy that there is still so much effort in changing and balancing a game that´s already a few years old. One must not take this for granted. So at this point I want to say thank you to the developers, who don´t let their game down. You are on the right track!

The problem isn't the 12 min panther. It's the one that comes shortly after that, then the one after that. Panthers are notoriously hard to finish off, and it becomes extremely easy to reach critical mass with these changes. Team games are going to be filled with panther hordes, that now come much sooner then they did before.

5 min luchs era is upon us.

I would LOVE to know the reasoning behind leaving OKW vet5 AND cheapest teching.

Med truck+schwerer costs as much as USF T3 alone :snfPeter:

Soviets need to get 160 fuel to pump out T-70, but OKW barely over 100 :snfPeter:

Relic goes full retard with IS overnerfs and OKW overbuffs :snfPeter:

ELO inflation imminent, January whining after OKW nerf fore sown :snfPeter:

buff? They increased kar damage, everything else is a nerf.

Manpower cost increased from 235 to 250
Kark 98k Rifle Damage increased from 10 to 12
Veterancy Rank 4 Squad Sight Radius buff decreased from 1.4 to 1.2
Veterancy Rank 4 Weapon Accuracy buff decreased from 1.3 to 1.15

Volks stand up to any allied infantry short of shocks at vet0 now.
They nerfed vet bonuses that shouldn't be there in the first place any longer, because OKW doesn't suffer any penalties anymore and somehow retains side upgrade free cheapest teching with some of the most powerful units.

A-moving with shrecks have never been easier.

Yes, because only Axis ever need to screen their MGs with other infantry and flame grenades deal 30 damage per tick.

I think(hope)those notes are missing some changes they applied in the patch cycle and talked about(Relic is notorious for having missing/incorrect info in their patch notes).
