One more note:
If you get a key between now and then, make sure to hold on to it. You will not be able to input your key on Steam prior to August 31st and thus there will be no pre-download available and you will need to input your key on Steam on the 31st to download The British Forces and access the free trial. Please keep in mind that this will be a separate build of its own, and will be shut down and wiped clean before release. Player stats and progress from the Limited Free Trial (such as bulletins, skins or commanders unlocked through the progression system etc.) cannot and won’t carry over to the final game. Because of how COH2 and its expansions are built and intertwined and the technical limitations it implies when ring-fencing content, there was no other way for us to do this.
Anyone will be able to get a key for the Limited Free Trial through our soon-to-be-announced partners starting August 30th while supplies last and we will also be distributing some keys ourselves on Relic's social channels. All in all, there will be 55,000 keys available, so chances are that most who really want to play in the free trial will be able to grab a key

You think the free trial/early access would be available to the people who actually pre ordered, but I guess the executives at Relic/Sega have something else planned.
