Aww. But I heard some very negative things about this game. They made everything super duper simple so "non- fps" Starwars fans will be able to play/understand it. Pls no aim assist console crap hopefully, pls Dice.

I heard the same thing, over simplified game so casuals can easily get into it. Problem is that the specs required to play it well on PC are up there with Hardline and BF4, so someone would need a decent rig to play this well. Most people with even decent PCs would have played other games like that, and console players seem to have no problem playing battlefield. So it's either keep the game semi sophisticated to keep the battlefield people interested and alienate the super casuals or dumb it down and irritate the FPS crowd and focus on casuals.

You can always identify people that never played on console from posts like this. GTA and rockstar games have actual lock on targeting. CoD, Battlefield, Halo, etc. do not. They have "aim assist" which means when you are aiming near someone the look sensitivity is slower than when you are not. This way you can get a decent amount of precision while aiming at someone but retain a feasible turning speed when you are not aiming at someone. Its not "auto aim crap" I've played thousands of hours on pc and console, and a mouse is much more accurate than a console with aim assist, the console players have it harder than you do.

I've listened to a lot of youtubers and most of them all pretty much agree the ground combat is good, but vehicles and flying is totally lackluster. I'm still kind of keen to play it, at least for the co-op.

Yes criticising something you are uninformed about is a bad thing.

I got to test some ground combat here locally at EA a few months back, NDA and all but the ground combat is super solid, guns feel awesome and sound design is top notch.

Well there isn't really anything wrong with aim assist even if it was on pc, its simply a contextual sensitivity adjustment. Gaming mouse control panels let you map a extra button to switch between different sensitivity presets, Ive heard levelcap say he does that when he is sniping, so in a way it has already been implemented in pc gaming even though it isn't built in to the game. The whole purpose of aim assist is to have control over aim and not sacrifice too much rotation speed when using analog sticks, but since a mouse already gives you pin point accuracy and extremely fast turn speeds at the same time, there wouldn't even be any upside to use aim assist. TLDR aim assist isn't like a crutch because console players are shitty casuals, it just makes shooters playable with sticks.

About the game I enjoyed SWBF2, so as long as it hasn't taken a step backward from its predecessor I'll still enjoy it even if it doesn't feel like BF5.

I heard it's pretty solid but I'm expecting in typical EA fashion to give us the bare bones and then pawn off 85% of the content in the form of DLC.

no ATAT, no space battles , no death star battle. GG WP EA&DICE

but it will be a good game a year later:
Death Star Map Pack 10€
Space battles 20€
Galactic Conquest DLC 15€
Campaign DLC 15€
Content that should have been in the game Pack 25€
Content was cut out from the game Pack 10€

exactly, im also so over with EA/DICE bullshit. It´s just fishing dumb people feeded by screens and hyp trailer. Played a long time BF3 competitive and with BF4 it was finally over because of making it to a game like "look at us we beat CoD", oh man, please, go out of my way with EA.:foreveralone:

content actually isnt that important. what counts is a tactical and challenging gameplay which gives you room for own decisions. then you can play the same maps with the same weapons over and over again.

ATAT is in the game.

The biggest problem with their DLC is how it fragments the playerbase. They need to do something like Rising Storm where everyone gets maps but you are restricted to basic rifleman class, can't play heroes, etc. This is 2015, games look a lot nicer, get more substantial patches, have better sound and animations so don't expect the same price for games from 10 years ago unless you only buy niche small developer titles. If you don't want to spend over 60 hours on a game don't get all the DLC, if you do then you got your money worth. Gaming is one of the most cost efficient past times out there, bitching about dlc cost is petty. If you want overpriced af dlc buy all the coh2 camos commanders and mission DLCs.

That is in the walker escort game mode so some freelance idiot can't sabotage objective play. They might be fully controllable in conquest, we don't know yet.
