I wanted to know how many people also like to try new playstyles that are outside of the current meta.
What do you do? Which units do you use and which commander fits your playstyle the best?

I, for example, still play the flame HT in 2v2 games because I like it's AI power and the fact that you can restock your units. I also like to play T4 in team games for Brummbär and especially Panzerwerfer.

I like to use irregulars in team games because they drop LMGS when they die that my cons can pick up.

Yesterday I played one game with my mate with Festung Armor Doctrine in Semo Winter. It's not something you see too often.

I picked that up after noticing my opponent didn't go to 120mm mortars. They had few 82mm mortars but my mate got Walking Stuka so they didn't really work. Then I just created few PAK43 to cover mid and left VP's behind the shot blockers. Microing such many T3 tanks is a bit tricky though. However in the end I managed to get VET3 Command Tank which was quite a beast versus inf.

Only problem was at one point that my PAK43 almost destroyed my mates T3 structure because it was trying to hit tanks. :D

Fun game for sure.

Build multiple Fallschirmjäger, or build 1-2 leIGs sometimes. Well I think at least that doesn't happen a lot otherwise. Some very salty enemy USF player told me Fallschirmjäger would be the new Obersoldaten because his Riflemen could not just move into close range and win automatically.

Stay T1 as OKW, double kuble with double S pio, a couple of volks then JP4 backed by a couple rakketens, then straight into 9 CP P4 spam from Elite Armoured.

P4s need a lot of muni, so dont spend much other than a couple shreks.

Dont teck cos save fuel for P4s.

P4 will be main AI late game and flanking force while JP4 hits from range.

Get repair truck late game if you need it.

Field gun is an option too as you float quite a lot.

trench spam. hull down a 250 with tank traps surrounding it so armor can't get in range.

front line hq success.

I've used Festung Armor in 1on1 vs USF quite a bit. Mobile defense if I want to tech up to tier4.
Lend Lease is common choice for me vs Ostheer in 1on1 and double Ost.

Fortified armor in 2v2
If there is an ISU I call in elefant.
Otherwise tech to T4. Panther in hulldown outranges jacksons and can take on is2s with ease if you have one atgun behind it.
USF has trouble dealing with a hullen down panther since jacksons dont have the range advantage.
And if I need mobility I just stop the hulldown and get a fast panther again.

You should specify in which game mode. Going SturmTiger in 1v1 is stupid when it is effective in 4v4.

A lot of units are not good in 1v1 and really good in 4v4, same for commander.

Doctrinal maybe, but most stock units have a use, depending of the game mode.

1v1 as USF vs OKW, I&R Pathfinder + Muni cache spam for glorious 'merican artillery rampage.

If that fails, cover the map in fighting positions and 57mm AT Guns and watch pensively.

Alternatively, if on an appropriate map(such as Ettlebruck), seeing how many partisans I can sneak into the enemy's base before attempting to blow their HQ.

I like the Pak 43 and some early vehicle gameplay instead of rushing some T34 or Shermans

Beside 2v2 or 1v1 games the Jagdtiger is pretty damn fun :)
