Why is the IS2 accuracy so bad?

Ive noticed that the IS2 (while having a lot of armor and HP) It tends to have a ridiculous amount of scatter and poor accuracy. Does anyone else think this is a little over the top?

IS-2 traded accuracy for better AT ability when relic made changes to it, it used to have hard time countering enemy armor, but it usually hit enemy infantry with every shot, so it was changed, and buffed to more of a AT role

The RoF also makes it look more inaccurate than it actually is.

The IS-2 has less accuracy and less firepower againts infantry is because it has superior anti tank performance to the tiger I.


Tiger 1 has more firepower,

IS-2 has more durability

That's basically how it goes right now.

It has higher AoE than the Tiger and only slightly more scatter. The reason it feels like it's less accurate is because it has a lower ROF.

I find the IS-2 vs Tiger engagement comes down to RNG more than anything else so I think the Tiger has a much better trade off with it's better anti infantry.

At the same time though, Anti infantry and squad wipe poential more than anything comes down to Squads frustratingly clumping.

My IS-2 regulary wipes squads, it's just that it has a very slow and noticeable rate of fire, so when it misses it feels like it takes ages to fire again.

Dont really need the maingun to hit infantry. the Dshk topgunner is all you need = killing the most. Seems to be sniping models + planes left and right...

Its really cheap (it should cost more imo since you dont need tech) for what it does IMO. And you can just callin as many u like ofc. ;D

IS2 is better AT wise, Tiger is better AI. TTK between each other is not as different 64.41s± vs 59.69±
IS2 has an edge of 2.8s at far and at near 6.3s.
AT Guns: they have exactly the same TTK, only difference is that you have TwP to win you the battle.
Infantry AT: well...PTRS (doctrinal) + AT nades vs Faust + Shrecks

There is no commander with PTRS and IS-2.

It does do deflection damage, and yes the Tiger is better AI. Although I would say versus USF mostly since the IS2 is normally shooting at 4 men squads while the Tiger is shooting at 5 and 6 men squads.

The big weakness as you point out of the heavy's is they have low DPS, but the IS-2's 375 frontal armor and high speed means it can get in and out of sticky situations faster than a Tiger or KT can.

Why does it specify on the unit sheet it does deflection damage? That's weird as fuck yo.

i think it used to. obviously it was set to at some point and they just zeroed it and forgot to turn it off

When they reduced the damage and reload from 240 and +9s. They thought it would balance with deflection damage.
