So yeah, this ability is completely useless now, im not really sure why it was nerfed so hard, hardly anyone complained about it.
So yeah, this ability just serves no purpose now, because it barely slows down the vehicle. It needs some kind of buff or something.
And relic was talking about counterplay. What counterplay? Smoke already negated instantly.

I complained about the nerf in the soviet strategy board since now I see Guards as a waste of a bulletin and I have to change my entire approach to Soviet strategy.
In a game where leaflets falling from the sky cause a whole company of illiterate peasants to run home in fear I don't see why button was so unbelievable.
Also it is still 40 muni, so stupid.
Makes me want to Allied rage hard. Seems like Relic wants Soviets to be all about boring Maxim spam. I managed to play 500 hours of the game without ever resorting to maxim spam but this is the last straw.
