Stug G: rollback - make it purely AT

I´m not gonna mention any price or stats change, just asking if you would prefer the old Stug feeling. This taking into consideration the old meta and adapting it to the new factions/meta.

Example: if i was foreseen a double T3485, i would either go for a quick Ostwind into Stug/P4 + Pak + teller (no minefield to avoid forcing a minesweeper) or a more safe aproach, P4 + Stug. On the same way it´s just more safe to get a T34 instead of a T70, i feel that even if the Stug is dirt cheap (230mp + 80fuel) it´s just better to go a P4 or an Ostwind.

Reference of the change
Armor from 160 to 140
Rear armor from 80 to 70
Penetration from 140 to 120
Health from 480 to 400
Reload time from 4 to 3.5-4.5
Distance scatter max from 6.5 to 4
Scatter angle from 7.5 to 5
Manpower from 280 to 230
Fuel from 95 to 80


Armor from 124 to 160
Rear armor from 70 to 80
Penetration from 120 to 140
Reload time from 6 to 6-6.3
Manpower from 360 to 400
Fuel from 130 to 140
Double T34-85 call in manpower from 680 to 740
Double T34-85 call in fuel from 240 to 260

No, I like the current StuG, while blob is still dominant, this guy can kill off blob more efficient than Ostwind.

Strange post.

Sort of wierdly considers StuG from a Sov perspective, rather than an Ost one.

Can you be more concrete about changes exactly you are suggestinf for Stug, as concrete and listed stats?

I think the StugIII G is in a good place, it is actually the best AT in t3. More DPS than the P4 and 10 more penetration at all ranges. The only thing i would love is some extra range, because it is turretless or more front armor. It had the same front armor as the PIV (in real life).

I will simply lol at anyone expecting such a change to a 2 year old general use infantry.
Equally possible are pershing for USF, IS-3 for soviets or ober nerf for OKW.

I love the Stug as is, personally. I may be a bit bias though, as it's probably my favorite piece of armour from the war.

Give its previously feeling of a pak40 which can´t be decrew (and a TWP which seems it doesn´t shoot at ground). An AT platform which can reliably give AT support and chase (up to some point), at even other heavy vehicles (IS2) for cost.

I didn´t mention any specific stat cause i didn´t took into consideration the new armor values, cost or WFA.

You want stats (eventhough that´s the first line of my post):
-170/150 Pen
-480Hp
-300mp/100f
-Scatter values change in order to make it not reliable as AI.


Maybe it´s just me and i should just try to spam more Stugs, but they feel too squishy and do not hit armor hard enough.

And what about AI then?

With your stats and reductions its even more unuseful than PIV, than it is now, especially as a slower unturreted tank.

Still dont really see where you want to go with this.

I really did like the previous stug, the combination of ostwind and stug was really a great thing to use. It was also quite good kiting heavy soviet armor.

That said. I think I do like the new one as well. It is a cheap tank and performs accordingly, but actually fills a gap in the ostheer vehicle dept.

I like it more now, it plays a different role now than being just a weaker cheaper su-85.

I prefer the old AT profile for the Stug. I am never satisfied making them instead of PIV's or a stug III E.
