Ah dang I hit Print Screen but it didn't work. I just played a game where my Ambush Camouflage upgraded Grenadiers re-crewed a mortar and the mortar received camo as well. I'm not sure if this is intentional or not, but it's pretty cool and would be nasty on a Pak-40 that isn't vet 3 yet.

Cool, although probably not the most useful thing on a mortar. I know that when squads recrew a weapon they retain their armor and weapons (and reinforce cost?). Artifact/bug or not, I guess that is one of the other attributes that carries over. Now if only you could upgrade pioneers with ambush camo...

Shock troopers on a pak 40 actually kills models. Unfortunately, it has high reinforcement cost.

Advanced mortar tactics! I wonder if with the pak40 crew will be invisible but then gun remains visible. Soviet player will think the pak40 is down, but its the biggest trap ever!

For the sake of the awesomeness - one shouldnt. Its a feature that an infantry squad carries over all its attributes once it equips a team weapon.
