In a spirit of the name of this thread, here are WW2 weapons in Modern Warfare. Credit to googeling a for 4 minutes.

Warfare anno 21st century.

Separatist in eastern Ukraine with PPSH-41:

Separatist with PTRD at the Donetsk Airport

Ukrainian national guard with PTRD, apparently up some tower in a mine either at Peski or otherwise close to Donetsk Airport:

Separatist with M1910 Maxim machinegun. #MaximOP

And finally Mosin-Nagant 1931 with PU scope. (Post M3 scout car patch)

What's interesting is that even today every single one of those weapons would be deadly, even if they've long since been superseded. Obviously, a PPSh would be as murderous as ever in close quarters and I can see the Maxim giving someone a really bad day... but even the PTRD would probably cause a lot of problems for all the APCs we've been seeing, especially as they might even outrange something like an RPG... (though I'm not totally sure on that.

Amazing pictures none the less, I wonder where they got those weapons from...

Dont they have enough munitions for upgrades?

U.S. Marine Cpl. Kaden Priсkett, machine gunner and team leader with Golf Company, 2nd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force-Crisis Response-Central Command, fires a .50 caliber Special Applications Scoped Rifle at a target 1,200 meters away, in the Central Command area of operations, Jan. 6, 2015. Marines and sailors of Golf Company spent time on the range getting acquainted with various weapons systems and cross-training one another in their respective areas of expertise.
