With the new patch increasing teching costs and time, do you guys think vehicle call-ins are little too cost effective now?

No, the (soviet because this is what this thread is about) default units are not worth it AT ALL. 255 fuel for SU-85 and 370 for 2? Or similar costs for even more inferior tanks? No, thanks, I'd rather have 3 T34/85 ot IS-2+KV-8.

Of course it is, you need to compare the tech cost reaching P4 as well, the only viable defence against T-34/85 call in is single P4, a Pak, or screck PG, but you can never have two P4 exist at the same time period of dual 85 call in. That's why it is so retarded that they increase teching cost without tweaking call in CP and cost.

The current meta of soviet must use call-in armor saving the stupid teching cost or you just throw the game away, unless you outplay the Ostheer too much.

Before you get P4 you can put up an additional tier giving you even better unit variety.

The convenience soviets can't afford.

Couple that with inferiority of all soviet armor except SU-85 and you have pretty simple conclusions why soviets still stall to call-ins.

Also, CP costs were tweaked first, 2 patches ago. PQ himself said it they went with CP increase before tier cost increase.

With current soviet armor state all call-ins could be set to 15CP and soviets would still stall for them, there is no reason to pay such a huge tax for vastly inferior and inflexible unit choice, its much better to wait for the armor that actually matters.

There is nothing wrong with T-34/76 and SU85, only the tech cost is stupid.

Apparently there is something wrong with T34/76 if PQ himself posted that it will get pretty meaningful buffs.

Still want to argue that?

it's not that CPs need to be increased, the rate at which Cps go up needs to be decreased by 20%-30% percent.

Yes, absolutely. They are coming too early. They need to change it so that Call in units require some sort of teching as well. Tigers need T4 unlocked, etc.

+1

The problem isn't that the teching is too ineffective it's the Call-ins being too cheap and cost effective. The delayed teching is fine and improves the gameplay experience. There should be teching requirements for all Call-In Tanks. Somthing like Battlephase 3 for german heavys and either T3 or T4 building for Soviet Call-Ins. Maybe slightly adjust the prices to prevent T34/85 etc from becoming useless.

The balance between factions should be restored before tweaking the CP requirements for call-ins.

Not sure that they are addressing a problem with the 76, so much as they are changing how all vehicles function. That is a larger game related issue. The T34 as such needs to be reworked.

I like the idea of requiring tech before a call in is available.

I like the idea of tech too. All 4 buildings required for Tiger Ace. Done and done.

I don't have a problem with people not teching but it shouldn't be the no-brainer it is now.

Up the CP requirements for most tanks and you've got yourself a long mid-game... too simple?
