Maybe in the SNF final the mg's was the bigger problem, not the fht. Or the combo of both.

One thing that is being worth mentioning-it was also said that if FHT and quad were to loose reinforce, then at least in 251 case default weapons would be buffed.

Halftracks are fine. One AT gun, or guards and the HT/ FHT is history. There are really more important things to look at...

Making the upgraded versions of the 251 discreet units form the basic forms allows them to do things like make the base HT a bit better, to make people want to use them more, then there would be less expectation for the flame HT to inherit all those benefits.

Same goes for the M5

Or the reluctancy to get a zisgun or mortar. Bad play shouldnt be a an example for changing the game.

you all say that FHT is fine. But yesterday 5-0 for german because mainly of it. Of course it is because it was very good players playing it. But 5-0 !!!

guards is not a counter in 1vs1. You need shock to figth against PG. Remain Ziz, T70 and T34. But they can fail as seen yesterday

So perhaps FHT is fine. But don't say it to OMGPOP :P

The halftrack should still be allowed to reinforce with the flamers but I think the muni cost of upgrading to the flamers should reduce to 60 muni along with a nerf to the flame damage.

FHT is one of the only viable early game counters to shocks, moving the flame upgrade to t3 will probably cause more problems than it will resolve, you can quote the 5-0 german victory on yesterdays SNF but what of the cumulative stats for the whole tourney? Its pretty easy to take a subset of a sample and try to make an argument without providing proper context =/ Im by no means an expert so take my opinions with a grain of salt if you want but I think energy could be better invested dealing with other issues

And who said anything about moving FHT upgrade to T3?

All that was said by PQ was that taking away reinforce after upgrade and buffing default weapons could be an option.

Honestly the Soviet wins in the beginning to mid SNF were due to the large buffs given to them, ever since they introduced an accuracy penalty on tanks the Ostheer don't have to worry about their paks/shreck squads getting wiped so quickly, as well as the changes given to the ppsh and the suppression buff added to the mg42 has now allowed the Ostheer to worry less in the early game. Some would argue 1 CP shocks could easily solve this problem and are a problem in itself, but because most Ostheer players that I have encountered now happily embrace using the fht as a counter it's much harder for the Soviets to get a hold on things early-to mid game I find in 1v1.

Indeed. It have to be study more generaly.

And in SNF they failed to counter it but, they were close to do it and who know what would had happened if they success. Soviet were in a good position before it

Several people in this thread suggested it, that's what I was referring to I could have been more clear my apologies.
