So I've had a problem trying to upload Feodosia to Steam Workshop.

While Vyazma has uploaded without a hitch, Feodosia shows a caution sign next to it on the publish menu, saying:

Error 2: Unknown error.

Any ideas, guys?

Might be that somebody already uploaded your map. Happened to me with an early version of Lionskaya. Report the perpetrator and wait for it to be taken down.

How do you file a report through Steam (I've never done it before)?

I wish it were this simple! I've managed to upload Vyazma, which was uploaded by others, but I imagine that the reason why Feodosia hasn't appeared on the list is because nobody else can publish it either!

There is a flag button under each Workshop entry. Look under the map image, and you'll see it!

I was able to upload a version of Feodosia, but i assume it's an old version.

BTW i noticed that the latest version is almost 50mb, maybe it's to big?

EDIT:

deleted.

Tried to upload the latest version, doesn't work. i guess it's to big or there is an issue with the images for the preview minimap etc.

A true investigator!

Thanks a bunch! I'll give it a whirl.

The answer?

Loading screen images!

So, looks like I'm making a new loading screen!

Thanks a lot folks, for all of your help.

I have 56mb of maps up, not 100mb... all maps give the yellow triangle error code 2 & the ones that did upload (& all yet to upload) now have the minimap flipped as if all the previous effort to flip in photoshopped has been fixed & now must be undone. LAME.

On the plus side, all you have to do is open them in WB and save them again; a new _mm will be generated in the correct format. Easy peasy.

Try removing all image files (for that map) from the folder, exporting it again, and then publish. It massively drops the file size, and doesn't create a new minimap file. If they now publish successfully, add the image files back in one by one, and see if one of them is the culprit.

Alright folks, I have to bring this topic back to life, because once more, I'm out of options!

It looks as though the dreaded Error Code 2 has appeared again, this time on the remade version of Vyazma.

However, unlike last time, this does not seem to be caused by the size of images.
Even without a loading screen, the extra versions of the minimap, the updated minimap (basically, even if you strip the map down to the bare bones) it still refuses to upload.

I have also tried renaming it and creating a new file completely, but to no avail.

Therefore, I imagine that there is a problem with the sgb file itself, although this still works in game - it just doesn't work in Workshop.

Please help me out with anything you can!

I don´t know if the problem with Error code 2 is solved. This thread is a bit old, but here is a steam support list of Incomplete Installation (#) Errors which might help you.

Look for a map that you have already published and then take the name of the sga file and rename your new map with it and then publish your map, that works fine for me atleast :)

Well it depends on the map size but id say from 4mbs to 12 and you can find the file in my games/Company of heroes 2/mods/scenarios
