Bunkers... why?

rant/ Why do Germans get bunkers and not Soviets? Germans are able to simply play leepfrog when Soviets are on the backfoot. Just had a game where ofcourse the guy spams Assgrens. Then he sets up bunkers on all the choke points and waits for me to come out and get pinned. It's just ridiculous. I don't have enough fuel for counters and stuff like penals just get mown down. I go T1 to get counters for Assgrens which leaves me open to the inevitable armour spam. It's just stupid.

Perhaps T2 instead?

Try offensive Maxim use in conjunction with Cons support to systematically advance.
Use Molotovs to prevent Assgrens assaulting.
Mines also good.

satchel charge drains down about 1/2 health so you need two, 120 ammo to take down a 60 ammo bunker, +wait for satchel cooldown.
If he goes light vehicles get guards (they take down bunkers quickly with ptrs), otherwise avoid them until you get a ZiS (no need to barrage just use direct fire)

Flamers or demo charges as usual counter.

Satchel charges if you go T1, and ZiS if you go T2.

You still need a screen against the assualtgrens. I thought that spoke for itself.

And btw.: none of the other methods suggested so far are cost effective.

I realise Tuvok must have been joking with that ISU.

the question is not how to counter bunkers. is more like why they dont have bunkers. i want bunkers too. why? because i like bunkers because i like russians and i want both. i dont care if its a shitty trench.

sanbags take too long to build

you still can't afford to go mortars when facing assgrens.
guards is the best choice to take down bunkers, and they remain useful as light vehicle counters afterwards.
same for ZiS but it forces you T2

Well, it is quite straight forward. The only thing is, you cannot be lax, you must act and push.

T0: Flamer engies.
T1: Scoutcar w/flamers (makes it easy if you are having difficulties with the pinning).
T2: AT-gun (protect with Maxim of course).

The strat is cheasy, but I've done my share of ranting about Assgrens.

Point taken, but guards also forces you into specific commanders.

at guns and clown car flamers are the best way to deal with bunkers early game.

Sandbags should take the same amount of time to build as capturing a point. Currently it is 2x that.

because the time that they take to be built vs their use. does not match. by the time you built it.

1 the fight has has already begun a while ago.

2 you have to move elsewhere.
