MG42 was in T1 with Gren, Mortar, Snip to made Ost has a slow start but have various units for various strategy.
While Cons in T0 for constantly Point capping from the start game.
This made the 1st MG42 had to fight against 2 Cons.
But West armies with many units in T0 just kill the design. Put MG42 in T0 and combined with Sturm makes Cons nowaday resource wasting.
Its not about Cons is too weak, its about Cons have no advantage timing.

And the 1st Maxim face a Sturm and 2 Volk.
I say again, timing is the problem, not units.
While Cons in T0 for constantly Point capping from the start game.
This made the 1st MG42 had to fight against 2 Cons.

What slow start?
Ost T1 is up in less then 10 seconds.
Penals is slow start.
Maxims is slow start.
Ost T1 is not.
Maybe it's 'cause the Axis players aren't a bunch of forum crybabies, and they keep their cool and fight the uphill battle, unlike some of their "allied" counterparts.

Well it was the past.
I think you can use mg to cap some relative safe points. When I play wm, I rarely put my mg in building unless the enemy just push reckless. You need the mobility to react the con build.

The best part about mg42, is when i play usf and drive my wc51 upgraded with 50 cal and 4 thompson just blasting it down in 2 seconds. The sad part, 50 cal machinegun is better, so i have no use for it.
