Do I think it's fine? Not really; I think it's obvious that it doesn't reflect well on the game and I'm actually considering taking a short break as allies since I'm not having as much fun with all the truck pushing and Kubels everywhere.

Do I think it's grounds for screaming invective at someone in the middle of competition? No. In most sports Aerohank would have gotten carded and he would have deserved it. Sports is all about maturity and restraint and discipline.

Amazing job on the balance Relic. This game is truly the next big thing in Esports.

Still laughing so hard xDDD

Especially the irony. You know what e-Sports is all about? Min-maxing. Getting the units that perform best for their price.
Brad did to you exactly what any 'professional' player would do. Kubels either overperform or at least most opponents do not know how to counter them yet, so abuse the hell out of them.

Is this lame, boring and pretty disgusting if you are on the receiving end and just want fun? Yes.
Is this though exactly what e-Sports is about, playing for the win instead of enjoyment? Yes.

I enjoyed the raging, especially after Brads comment.

Nice, this was a interesting game. Soviet player made mistakes but he could have easily won. OKW player was struggling towards the end but got his flank off. Ultimately, OKW player dictated the pace of the game, Soviet player was obviously frustrated and let emotions hinder his ability to play.

Kubel is good but easy to kill. If Soviet had gotten MG earlier it would have nullified the Kubel push I think. Also AtG just basically 1 shot Kubel so... gg.

Creative play from OKW and good micro. Soviet player just rude and immature. This is not abuse or over performance. This is using a unit to its full potential. And because it is unprecedented, everybody gonna cry about it. But really, if one is prepared for this opening, one can defend properly.

I know people will not agree with my comments, but hey, haters gon hate.

I think a small fuel cost for the kubel and delaying the initial truck by 60-90 seconds would be pretty reasonable.

I'm not particularly convinced that this replay demonstrates any glaring imbalance though. No attempt at flanking, no AT nades, and no T1 for scout car. He did get a zis which costs a lot of MP so I think getting it so early was a mistake.

Brad had no capping power at all with this strat, he took forever to get even his side of the map and couldn't support initial engagement with his sturms. I think scout car would have shut him down very hard.

Aerohank I think you played poorly and then wildly overreacted to brad's comment.

Brad, it wouldn't kill you to win with a little grace.

Romeo - That "non capping" is an essential part of the strategy. All factions have the exact same base income, the one you have at the start regardless of territory captured. If you, as OKW player, can deny the enemy from capturing territory for a long time, even at the cost of capping territory yourself you come out ahead.
Such strategies (prevent the enemies capping at the cost of your own) were pretty popular in the early WFA Alpha as they fit the OKW perfectly. Not only do you to a degree circumvent the lower fuel income this way, but your low teching cost and great manpower units allowed you to perform still very well, while the other factions struggled.
To a great degree I think that is actually one of the most important parts of this strategy and I personally like it for it offers a nice difference from the usual "I cap my half, you cap your half, then we clash" meta. The kubel is perfect for this, as it can be repaired, can win vs most opposing squads 1v1 and usually gets followed up by the Mechanized HQ for Pumas. This in turn allows the Kubels to be even more effectively be repaired.

I was thinking more about the truck pushing, with 3 bulletins to improve its speed, which was clearly abusive and lame.
Do you think that was fine? Well, good for you. If that's the "high level" strategy this game can offer then I foresee for CoH2 a short future in ESL.
And of course, no new players getting hooked with the game if they are abused like that in their first games.

People wants to see real competitive games no that spam and abusive shit allowed only by a pathetic state of balance.

Btw, is funny how the OKW player had 4 vehicles in the first minutes of the game without expending a single point of fuel.

I don't know if you've heard yet but theres a game called SC2

From the players e-sports is about winning, but from the developers it is about making matches that are entertaining to watch.

In Starcraft many changes are made in the name of making the game "more exciting". The Kubel does the opposite right now, allowing base pins by minute 3.

Remember when they buffed Pio's and the strat of the time was to build bunkers outside the soviet base and wait for tigers? Similar shit here except with low build time.

I remember the March Deployment days. Good times. Attack the soviets with grens from range, and waste them with Pioneers when they close in. Total axis advantage at every stage of the game - early, mid, late. G43 grens laughed at the very idea of cover. Still, I think the improvements to infantry combat were more than worth it, and about a month later, Relic fixed it up and things were mechanically interesting AND balanced.

Well first I never do any of those things.

Secondly, watch the fucking replay before being a smart ass.

So do you think kubels are still under performing?

You know, I dont think you realized how frustrated he was when you asked him that question in game, but why have you come to the game replay and posted the same question again, to enrage him more?

The best part is this will be the replay of the week MVGame

But honestly, going T1 for an M3 and putting a con or penal in it would have won you this game..

Its fun to see people who apparently dont play allies respond like this. FIY M3 gets raped by kubels after this patch

Coh2 is serious business. Jokes are not allowed, everybody has to follow a honorary code to full extent.

If you get stressed so much for playing a game you might consider finding another hobby, maybe gardening suits you. :)

2 conscripts with molotovs, 2 guards, 2 maxims, 1 AT gun. I had T4 up and was building a SU76. How is any of this spam? It can't get more combined arms than that unless I got a mortar instead of medics. I have no idea how you got to that conclusion, and I would appreciate it if you stopped claiming such things about me.

And BTW my game crashed, which was a shame because I was actually enjoying the game even though you were out-playing me.
