Thread: Close Air Support Guide25 Feb 2015, 07:45 AM As someone who did a +35 streak without any tanks ever built on that doctrine I suggest you skip the part where you tech T4. Furthermore: although there is nothing to counter planes, it is pretty simple to counter that commander - you just have to actually act as a team and use the right abilities. In: Guides
Thread: soviet shock army. 18 Feb 2015, 09:56 AM If he got shocks he usually won't have T1 - go for a sniper. You can make the squad bleed 2 entities before he is even in CQ range on your grens, at least another entitiy while the fight takes place. Normally your grenadiers shouldn't have much of a problem with that. If he has T1, go straight for T3 and Ostwind or P4. Depending on doctrine, map control and opponent's doctrine sometimes a P4 is more viable than Ostwind and the other way round. Pioneers with flamethrowers are totally underrated btw. Perfect for dealing with squads that are already being shot at due to flame criticals be it shocks or ppsh conscripts. Often I even prefer it over a LMG upgrade. //EDIT I would NOT recommend Flame HT or Scoutcar. Scoutcar is way too fragile and is easily overcome by conscripts alone. The Flame HT will cost you 120 munitions which is 2 weapon upgrades and is fragile, too. Furthermore you need T3 teched for the upgrade so you will be facing enemy tanks soon. In: Ostheer Strategies
Thread: How to make the Axis quit20 Dec 2014, 22:41 PM Finally a 3v3 with competent players on both sides...oh... wait. Maybe next time don't be overconfident when uploading a replay against 2000+ ranks. In: Replays
Thread: artillery and late game squadwipes19 Dec 2014, 23:34 PM So... if I drop a 100kg high explosive shell into a very loose cluster of 10-20 guys... you guys are trying to tell me that they shouldn't die immediately? Or 10kg inbetween smaller and tighter formations? No comment. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Tiger Ace8 Dec 2014, 00:37 AM Can't believe I'm so bored that I finally end up replying in this forum but I have to say: Jump back to quoted post4 Dec 2014, 16:46 PM☭ Калашникова ☭ This unit is strongest when it hits the field on a somewhat even fight and is weakest when you are loosing hard. This is on a doctrine that has no offmap support, And the vet ability is something to use with care. [...] When he has the TA on the field he has a massive manpower disadvantage, and needs a good amount of pios to keep it near full health (3-4) Killing the TA's support is normally the most easy way to counter it because he doesn't have the manpower to keep trading. this. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: O´Field / Snogge - Best Epic Game i ever had 112.000 Damage26 Nov 2014, 17:54 PM Indeed very epic. That plane crash though... that hurt :x In: Replays
Thread: How to deal with HOI's maxim spam + double snipers26 Nov 2014, 17:25 PM Oh, don't you worry. We played against that combo on - supposedly - "allies-sided" maps, too. :-) In: Replays
Thread: How to deal with HOI's maxim spam + double snipers26 Nov 2014, 14:46 PM 2v2 vs -HOI-VIPUKS & -HOI-ZarkCloud playing the notorious maxim spam/double sniper combo :-) Have fun! In: Replays
Thread: Top10 vs Top30 - Overlord+Blackstorm vs OField+Fridod24 Nov 2014, 19:04 PM Awesome match with/vs incredibly nice and fair players. GG WP Feel free to cast :-) In: Replays
Thread: 2v2 Minsk Pocket - ISU+IS2 abuse countered by CAS abuse22 Nov 2014, 01:28 AM n!AKECHETA[OKW] + n!Fridod[Wehrmacht] vs Scipio[SU] + Mickey Taylor[SU] I'm a bit angry about current meta gaming and uploaded this as an example how you are forced to counter abusive gameplay with abusive gameplay. This was a rematch vs the same tactics we encountered the game before, so we knew what was coming - hence CAS abuse to deal with our opponents abuse. Adding to my frustration: multiple tanks that get away with 5% HP because all of a sudden shrecks/AT shells don't penetrate anymore. In: Replays
