Thread: PPSH upgrade for conscripts is a downgrade25 Nov 2014, 19:28 PM So, vannila conscripts are actually very good. They easily beat grens and volks in a 1v1 situation, and with a little micro beat sturmpios with ease. With good micro and molotovs they can even beat LMG grens. However, the PPSH upgrade is supposed to make conscripts even more epic.... Except that it makes them worse. The PPSH has the lowest damage out of all smgs (except vehicle crews and pioneer SMG) and due to the high fragility of concripts which means that they need to be in cover 100% of the time, makes this upgrade a complete downgrade. Now i do not want the PPSH to be insane, but when looking at its german equivalent, the G43 , which increases your close range DPS just slightly less than PPSH conscripts, but considerably increases your mid range and slightly increases your long range DPS, while PPSH conscripts only increase the DPS at close range, and drastically decreases and mid and long range. My proposed change is to give PPSH upgrade conscripts some kind of armor, say 1.1 or maybe 1.15 armor to make it slightly easier for them to close in. In: COH2 Gameplay

The assault engineer democharges have ALOT more AOE than the soviet ones, making them much better in getting reliable squadwipes. Thread: Blobbing24 Nov 2014, 15:22 PM People always complain about 66% OKW income, but people forget that OKW teching is incredibly cheap, and in the first 20 minutes of the game, they actually have more fuel than any other faction. Only in the late game that fuel penalty can be really felt. But then OKW already has bulletproof volksgrenadiers and matrix bullet dodge obersoldaten on the field, so it hardly matters In: COH2 Gameplay

Just get alot of conscripts 5+ and harass and when you've got a good idea of where your enemies MGs are positioned, flank and molotov from all sides. Get molotovs after your 3-4th conscript. Grenspam should be even less of a problem with conspam, since vannila cons easily solo vannila grens in a 1v1 situation. Then you follow up with either T3 or call ins tanks. I personally like to get an M5 out of lend lease and follow up with M4C shermans. Keep in mind STUG E and well microed 222s are hard to counter with conspam, but just put mines in key locations and you should be fine. Vs OKW it's alot trickier but it can still work. You have to avoid making too much conscripts to have either a t-34/76 or t-70 at around 10-12 mins out since if you wait for call ins with conscript spam luchs and obers will destroy you. Conscripts should beat sturmpios since they win at long range vs them, if they get too close, oorah away and come back with 2. Then again it only takes 1 lucky at nade or mine to kill the luchs and if that happens it's practically GG right there. OKW is particuraly terrible at detecting mines so make your own judgement. Pumas are tricky but if they get pumas, that means no obers which means you should pave him off the map because he doesn't have healing and he will suffer extreme MP drain. Most players will have a flak HQ setting up at around the 8th-10th mark minute. Always try to locate when and where exactly it is setting down and attack with everything you've got. Just one molotov is enough to destroy it while it's setting up. vs OKW it is always good to start with 2 or even more engineers because flamers ignore the matrix bullet dodging skills that OKW infantry has.
