As a WWII commander, you have to accept the fact that sometimes the situation will go be put out of your control, your job is to adapt to it. Didin't wipe a squad on retreat even tho it was 1 man and retreated thruogh 3 full health squads? L2P. Should of had 4 squads there. Panzer IV bounced of 5 at nades? L2P. Should of thrown 6 and had some mines placed too. Tiger got immobilized by at nade? L2P. Should of had some pioneers nearby. In: COH2 Gameplay

Basically what he says about the soviets can be summed up into a single sentence : do not fight like the soviets. And near all modern military doctrines is based on the german ones not the soviet doctrines. He is a LT not a general. He is not a historian. Instead of relying on one person, open up your eyes and see what other people say. For some reason even though all the soviets did was wrong, they managed to defeat "the best army in the world", the wehrmacht was getting trashed from 43 and onwards. And suffered two major defeats before then, Moscow and Stalingrad. In: COH2 Gameplay

But i will tell you one thing. an acquaintance of mine who is a LT within out country's army said to me once that red army tactics and strategy where never given any consideration as they are considered to be the one of the worst military doctrines during the entire 20th century. german tactics and strategies are still being extensively studied. Germany lost that was inevitable but not because they where bad soldiers. You know, instead of relying on something that a LT within your country said about the red army, you should probaly instead look at what actual historians say about the tactics of the red army ww2 who did a ton of research instead of believing what one person says. This is also not the first time in history where a superior military force is defeated by its enemy but by other factors. the american civil war or the war between carthage and rome are all good examples of this. So you are saying it is not the red army that defeated the wehrmacht? I don't understand. Once again, this is making no sense. If the wehrmacht was constantly being defeated from the battle of Stalingrad and onwards, then how can the wehrmacht be the superior fighting force? It doesn't matter what were the causes of this. I find the whermacht to be far superior then the red army or the USF. But your correct military victories doesn't make a unstoppable fighting force. the romans where so effective not only because they had well led and wel disciplined legionaries but also because they where also masters of diplomacy and had a firm understanding of economics of warfare. The nazi's never did and germany downfall was inevitable because of that. Yes of course the wehrmact was the superior army, that's why they lost the war. Your logic doesn't make any sense. While it is very good and will teach many inexperienced commanders how to beat the fascists, however, i must state that the lend lease tactics is missing. This is a very serious flaw, because the american built M4C sherman medium tank should not be underestimated. It too can be built with overwhelming numbers and be used with good sucess, especially because it can transfer munitions to much needed fuel for our tank spam. In: Red Army Strategies

And no, normal tigers are fine as they are. There is not a single reason why they would need TWP, its unique thing for TA. I know tigers are fine as they are, vet 3 tigers are incredibly rare, and it won't really affect the game at all, just you know, to add some flavor to the tiger. IS-2 could also gain something at vet 2 vet 3, for example a firing mode that pins and suppreses squads at the cost of moving speed. In: COH2 Gameplay
