Thanks If you know how to play well, a t70 can easily clear all of those. Ive used m5 quadmounts to destroy all of those as well, and su-76 barrage can help a bit to a certain extent. Katyusha is your LAST counter against all those things.Slightly later katyusha does not help Axis at all as substantially early light armor means Axis has to deal with you instead of you dealing with them. Yes. Soviet teching has been redesigned so you can realistically get all necessary vehicles. Before, you were forced to stick with T3 OR T4. Now that a lot of fuel has been shaved off of soviet teching, you now have more fuel to build vehicles or tech further. T3 provides light vehicle support, in which M5 quadmount had been buffed as well as Su-76. T-70 also comes earlier, and the t70 has always been good. T4 has the now more spammable t34/76, the su-85 for more AT power than the su-76, and the always great katyusha. I can certainly vouch that Soviets now play like a working faction instead of an unappealling pile of crap that induced the callin meta. Also, maxim buff. Though conscripts have received a series of nerfs... In: COH2 Balance

Thanks EZ8's come earlier as a result (and probably t34/85's), and you pay for them individually (t34/85's), so you can get singles of them out instead of needing a large amount of fuel for two. You teched either T3 OR T4, and you only had 3 vehicles, T3 which had only one that can survive an attack. T4 which had no infantry combatting vehicles (and i mean face to face). Well, for starters, Relic changed it so it can only exist where all its counters are out on the field, so they made a bad change by making it extinct. I dont think there ever was a USF vs 251 FHT. Regardless, USF will either have a Captain or Lieutenant (m20/m15) so technically it should be countered. T2 Soviets has the AT gun... And soviet light armor arrives fast enough to deal with it... Conscripts with a buffed PPSH package would be best, upgradeable at T3 or T4. This will also reduce the Soviet tendency to float munitions, and play into the overall theme of the Soviet Army. Would be nice, if Relic was willing to change the slot of doctrinal PPSH's... Something super iconic of the Soviets, and is doctrinal and rather bad... This would technically be better for the game than more LMG's. In: COH2 Gameplay

I think LMG must be doctrinal and nerfed by 30% minimum. Gren LMG's wont magically become doctrinal, ever. And that doesnt improve conscripts in the later game either. Grens also face off against riflemen, who show up with 2 LMG's (or technically assault rifles according to the game) later. Cons PTRS in Alpha was changed to have worse accuracy (and no chance to drop). 3 shots to kill an infantry model now isnt bad at all since the rest of the squad not with a PTRS will also be shooting at the infantry... and damage versus vehicles is the same. Besides, thats one commander. PTRS change also went for Guards as well. Some commanders allow conscripts to gain PPSH's.. but thats the worst upgrade for any infantry in existence. It has been suggested for cons to get a DP upgrade at some point. Even though it is the worst LMG, ... i dont feel like it would improve the game. But its probably the best way to make them not so useless in the end. In: COH2 Gameplay
