Guys, can we now revert the good old okw? It was bad becouse vet was not working, now with the vet fix it will be more than powerfull enough to justify resource penalty...
So that is why coh2 always seemed so flat in comparison to coh1 and why vehicle vet seemed so ridiculously strong at launch. My whole life was a lie...
Have you tried lowering graphical settings? This game is more and more demanding with time due to every faction having better models, effects and so on. Also with new content there is increasingly more to load into memory when the match starts. And there is the possibility of memory leak. If, like most community belives, the leak is in fact present you may play just on maximum of available memory and then, after first match some data is not removed from memory, instead it is loaded again (so there are 2 copies!) so the memory needed is increasing and you cant play another match. If you lower graphical settings it may use less memory allowing you to play more than one match without restart.
Personally I sometimes, but very rarely, play coh2 on minimum settings on 4gb laptop with intel hd 4000. What it means is that I have 4gb of memory, 2gb of which is shared with gpu. Still the game is playable. I mean its ugly of course but well... At least I can play. And that is even though the game generally shouldn't run on such a bad machine. With your 8gb it should be better than minimum but I cant really say how much better.
I think it's because I've never seen a panzershreck drop off a volks squad unless it was wiped. In that sense, there's no point in getting a rebuy option. Usually squadwipe and then the second volks squad picks up the second shreck.
Its not usually a wipe. It is always a wipe. If there is any other squad member to take the weapon he will take it with 100% probability. Dropping with squad alive is possible only if the squad has more than one special weapon, for example a picked up shreck, but then inability to repurchase is resonable.
Well, he doesn't, he has 8GB of RAM and 2GB from this very same pool is shared with his video card. Neither is it additional memory nor a vram in the sense of gddr.
There's a thread on these forums about it with a response from a relic dev. But since there's no search function, you just have to trust me with that
Its not ideal solution but generally the forums are well covered by google, you often can find posts or threads you need just by adding coh2.org to your google query.
The bug was initially fixed but it coused even more problems, so they reverted it and are looking into a better and well tested solution. Whats more right now the vet bug couses not only offensive but also defensive vet to fade out with dying models.
So yeah, it wasn't fixed and as far as I know the official ETA is ASAP
