A well played 1v1 on Minsk Pocket, USF vs. Wehrmacht.
I was saved by a Tiger Ace and my opponents insistence on using Shermans to take out the Tiger Ace. I love it when it runs down rifle squads... revenge is sweet

Thread: Intense engagement in Lienne Forest22 Nov 2014, 08:16 AM
This replay consists of 3 USSR 1 USF vs. 3 OKW 1 Wehrmacht (myself being the latter). I defended the forest on the right, then sallied forth to attack the enemy base sectors. Early game, it was much interesting; it almost felt like a 1v1 against my Soviet opponent. Impressive micro and sniper play on both sides (even some counter-sniping on my part!), extravagant use of mines as a defensive tool, and some interesting use of SU-76s. I'd highly recommend watching this, at least the right side of the map. The vet 1 222 ability can really be a godsend in preparing for enemy assaults. In: Replays |

Here's a nice 18 minute 1v1. I don't think I've been beat that bad in a long time... Any tips or help would be appreciated. My thoughts: In hindsight, I should have gone with LT tech and rushed an M20; I was expecting a quick luchs and figured going captain would help. when I saw the med truck, I knew I had to get a Stuart, as that was the best mobile AI I would get out of the captain. It performed very well, helping me take out the Flak building. When it was destroyed, my opponent was right to get a Jagdpanzer, although by that time I had back teched to LT. It really wasn't smart, as I already had an HMG squad, but I thought getting another rifle squad would do me some good. I lost two of my four rifle squads... I just got out-microed by my opponent. Should I have gone nades to smoke the early kubel? Why didn't two bazooka rounds kill the (double vet?) Kubel (Relic, we need the bazooka to not be absolutely terrible against light, minimally armored vehicles). Should I have watched my munitions and upgraded to BARs earlier? Should I have gone airborne? I started the game assuming my opponent would go for a Puma then fast Luchs (Is this popular in 1v1, or is Puma too costly for a quick Luchs?). I decided to try to make my experience more interesting, and chose airborne company instead of my typical Infantry company build. My pathfinder performed excellently throughout the entire match, and I did not lose the squad. NB: I fucked up my capping order and forgot to get the point connecting my fuel to my base. Just looking for some advice on this replay... I was outplayed. Brilliant soviet micro, flanking, etc. on my opponent's part. There was one point after a few minutes where I got pushed off the muni point (for the first time)... My opponent had a critical mass of infantry from three sides. I could've avoided that if I would've paid more attention to my mp income and purchased one (or two) Panzer Grenadiers. Would that have saved me in the early game? Any tips, things I did wrong, suggested capping order, etc., lemme know! Thanks guys. In: Replays |

That must be pricey!!! I have an MSi GE70: Intel i7-4700MQ, Nvidia GTX 765M (with 2 GB GDDR5), 12 GB of DDR3 RAM. My graphics card is ranked in the lower hundreds for quality, my processor is in the 150s. I got it 11 months ago and it was on sale for about $1100 USD. In: Lobby |

Also terrible performance drop for me. Less than 30 fps on most maps in 1v1 What sort of gaming rig do you have? AT medium and low anti aliasing I would get about 25 fps, so I turned everything down to low or minimum and I get about 35 fps In: Lobby |
Thread: Help vs USF ,,,this is just ridiculous27 Oct 2014, 21:48 PM
Here's an *average* example of how to defeat a US player : My opponent went Rifle company to E8s, but neglected to get even a single light vehicle, which was quite stupid. The best example this replay gives is more or less individual gren vs. rifle combat. I had a difficult time playing even when my opponent's micro was not as good as mine, seeing as I lost zero squads to his many yet struggled to dominate the map control game. Many instances I played cat and mouse games with his rifles, attacked at many places at once (thus splitting up his forces) and used other units to support my Grens/Pgrens I got a PaK as soon as I saw his LT, but it ended up being useful only in the end against E8s. My unit composition at the end of the game was as follows: 3x Gren 1x Pio (flamer) 1x Pgren 1x AG 1x PaK 40 1x Stug III E 1x P4 waiting for tiger... This was a balanced force; after my P4 i was floating a lot of mp and decided to get the AG instead of a cache. I thought the game was too fluid and building one wouldn't stop him from decapping my fuel point. The AG maybe wasn't the smartest decision, seeing as it has no AT capabilities and his rifles had flamers on them, but they ended up working out OK in the end. Note: watch this with the open beta, not the official game. |

Here is an excellent example of how to play against the Americans as the Wehrmacht. Note the early lucky rifle nade squad wipe; that definitely made it easier for me. In: Replays |
Thread: MG vs. MG play26 Oct 2014, 17:07 PM
mg spam vs mg span should not even be a thougt about!!!! the game nerver was ment to be played like this!!!! I'm not talking about MG spam. Omega_Warrior, in the example I gave, the MG42 was already deployed and began shooting at the Maxim before it was even set up, then ended up losing. In: COH2 Balance |
Thread: MG vs. MG play26 Oct 2014, 05:46 AM
I've noticed that when pinned, MGs will still shoot. Is this a bug? I know that MG42s lose to Maxims 1v1, however, why is it that a Maxim that moves into the arc of a deployed MG42, gets suppressed, then returns fire is able to suppress then pin the MG42? That seems asinine. Does it simply have to do with the superior suppression stats of the Maxim? This MG42 vs. Maxim thing has been bugging me for months. Does anyone know how well the MG42 does against a DSHk or a M2HB? I haven't experienced 1v1 against either of them enough to have a definitive opinion of them. Thanks for the info guys.
