Hey man, is there any chance I could hop on your TS? It sounds perfect and I'd love to play with you guys.
yeah man, for sure! Most bears are from EU/NA, so we're on at suitable times for those timezones, but there's some Australian/Asian bears as well! |
this is it. when the shreck fires, the game rolls to determine hit or miss. if it's a hit, the projectile HAS to hit, regardless if the line of fire is no longer applicable, hence the "homing" effect.
if a miss is rolled, the projectile still fires where aimed with horizontal and vertical scatter taken into account. the game then computes the collision detection... if the projectile intersects the vehicle, a hit is still scored.
that's why it's literally always better to keep vehicles moving, since it eliminates the chance for a rolled miss to become a hit.
also, FYI, the way the collision detection works, scatter that is long (beyond the target) will still generally produce a hit, so if you're using attack ground you can increase your chances of a hit by aiming just beyond what you're shooting at.
I'm pretty sure that units have an accuracy penalty against moving vehicles as well, effectively compounding one's chances of dodging handheld AT when you're keeping your vehicles moving.
That's probably why kiting is so effective, especially at max range. |
Don't forget about Pathfinders please Relic, make them spawn out of buildings, they're way too expensive to call in and to reinforce.
I agree with the entire list, the scott is so worthless man, it has no pushing power, it's a waste of fuel. The building time is insane as well.
I think to maintain price, they could only spawn out of buildings in friendly territory?
I&R pathfinders should have four men and be combat effective as well. Do they have the scoped rifles w/ sniper ability at a certain health like pathfinders? If they don't they're useless for everything except their artillery.
The riflemen increased sight should be combined with the riflemen flares from Rifle company for a recon package. Would make the most sense, I think. Would give that recon commander some extra oomph. |

It would be stupid for Relic to simply abandon support for coh2 with the War Paint thing going on, as well as the ESL tournaments (so far scheduled until 5 March). If they end support this summer... 3 months, 6 at most after ESL. Stormless had almost 2,000 viewers I believe, today when they were streaming the January monthly finals.
There's a lot of single player content Relic can put out with relatively little post-launch support necessary. ToW only goes until 1943, there's no British single-player, and they could always come out with some German campaign.
They can always release new skins for $$ too.
The more content they release, the more $$ they'll make. If they put out another faction...they could try but I don't know what they'll do, in all honesty.
Relic is certainly trying to grow the community. They're certainly trying and the playerbase is steadily growing with time, exposure, and more content. Opening up skins, mod tools, etc. really has helped as well!
CoH1 was supported for a veeeery long time and they even moved the servers over to Steam and it still has online support. No reason that coh2 won't lose, at least, online services for a long, long time.
Edit: ESL cups go until the beginning of April! |
The reason why there's "heat-seeking" rockets or whatever is because the game decides what is a hit before the projectile becomes visible. That's what I assume, at least. |
I love USF crews. Fucking gr8. |
You can get 2 shreks out by AEC
Yeah, ideally, you can do a lot of things before your opponent gets out a fast light vehicle, but that's always assuming you're playing against someone of equal skill level and rather equal map control.
If you're down and can't afford the muni, raktens may be your only AT or a great supplement to a single schreck

Panzergrenadiers after wiping a squad: "Der Schwanzlutscher ist kaputt." (The cocksucker is broken)
This is quite hilarious if you speak german, especially with the german accent in the english lines.
The panzergrenadiers are really damn viscous. I've heard them also say, "the Schwein are all dead!" |
If anyone could take a look at this replay and see where I could've improved, that be great!
For a while I was floating manpower, not sure of what to get. I was surprised by my opponent's lack of AEC, but his overaggression with his armor proved to be his undoing. |
Does this work well against USF/Brits/Soviets now?
I'm glad the clown car is no longer as crazy powerful as it once was. |
