Wow so much hate on the Stug E.
Both Stug and T70 shouldn't be compared just because they're good at killing infantry.
The T70 is a harassment and scout vehicle. The stug is not. It's an anti-infantry vehicle at its core and used to destroy enemy positions.
I must congratulate Relic on eliminating the stupid T34/85 call in meta that was Ost v Soviet. So many games were lost when I decided to build a P4 to press my advantage and then get stomped on by double T34/85s. (I wasn't as good at the game as I was then, admittedly, but still).
The call-in meta has come a long way from what it was. I'm not really sure of the best solution and anything I'd say would just be reiterating previous points made, and any radical solution wouldn't be implemented by Relic into the game anyway - I was surprised at how they shuffled units around in OKW's trucks. |

It would be nice if factions weren't necessarily identical, but had more than a single type of non-doctrinal infantry that plays different roles. Wehr and Soviets have that in Grens/Cons and penals/Pgrens, but the problem w/ WFA is that there are volks and rifles.
Blobbing w/ Airborne co. is good; pathfinders for sight, airobrne w/ m1919s and a crazy BAR blob w/ Jacksons behind it is good.
Volks blobs aren't as cancerous as they used to be thanks to the removal of the schreck but the sturmpioneer does too much w/ the Schreck, Sweeper, and Flamethrower.
I for one would like to see an added importance to cover and a higher lethality in general, with less emphasis on infantry veterancy. That would make coh2 more like it's original form, showing the brutal eastern front and whatnot. An increase in lethality and better suppression platforms would help a lot, I think, in dealing with the blobberino. |

Given the ride this game has gone though I can understand the desire to distance themselves as much as they can.
What a shame. They could've at least finished Theater of War and given us a Brit campaign.
I often wonder what would've happened if THQ didn't go under and coh2 was released 6 months earlier than it actually was... It might've been a trainwreck.
Regardless, coh2 did have a bit of a rocky start in terms of balance and the bugs that they've introduced in their patches, especially in 2016, have made coh2 a lot more frustrating for them than it had to be. |
I don't see the current gripes about p2w. Almost all extra content Relic has released for coh2 is purchasable using in-game currency or real money. Every commander, skin, etc.
I understand the frustration in the past, but now, it doesn't seem justified. Just put in the hours and you'll be fine. Or if you've already put in the hours, you convert all your duplicates to supply and you buy yourself some commanders.
Relic is using their DLC to fund tournaments and to keep the game running. If people like you stop playing the game and stop buying dlc, then Relic will probably end support for coh2. SEGA might even have them shut down the servers, idk. There seems to be a lot more controversy surrounding coh2 than coh1 at this point in each game's life-cycle. |

So you make this armored car like a light tank, but only available in the late game?
Sure, buff the MG on it, maybe that's cool, but wtf with the upgrade?
If anything, ost should get a side tech P3 in Tier 2 to push against the light armor.
Some people would argue for Hotchkiss but I disagree. |
Did Relic ever talk about sound effects for explosive ammunition? I know that they recorded small arms at various distances and engine noises of functioning tanks but... did they do the same for artillery pieces?
If they did, then changes that may make the guns sound "weaker" would actually be more "authentic".
It's cool, though, that the M8 Scott has a model, at least in this mod. Pretty dope. |
Great game, not too long. CELO ranks of our opponents were 300s-500s. It was a challenge for us, considering we had just played a 53 minute game against an AT ranked just under 2,000.
This game had a bit of a spectacular climax leading up to the end and a delicate early game so I'm sure it would be entertaining to watch/cast. |
