Thread: Abandon vehicle occurring more often? 30 Aug 2014, 21:45 PM Pretty much agree that it shouldn't be in competitive play. Its one thing to take a risk and accept that a vehicle will die, but to lose it then give it to the proponent? Its stupid. The only form of vehicle stealing I'm cool with is if someone catches a US vehicle squad repairing their vehicle out in the open. Nice idea, but just doesn't have a place in competitive play. Throw a grenade at the door of those 1 door buildings and they go down instantly, vindi lost two squads that way. Its the first I've seen of it, although I've known them to be really flimsy to begin with. I'm guessing Fortune wanted to show this and it wasn't just another pride replay? The amount of times my MG sets up the wrong way, the pathing of my P4, holy christ. I give the P4 1 command to reverse and it takes a full minute to traverse between some trees, unacceptable pathing. Thread: Is dropping really this common?30 Aug 2014, 01:01 AM Ideally, there should be a reconnect feature to account for game crashes and internet disconnections, a 5 minute grace period, at the end of 5 minutes the player can no longer reconnect. In 1v1s it would be a 1 minute pause of the game, in 2v2 and upwards, the game is not paused but AI takes over or alternatively, players can temporarily control the army. In addition to this, penalty for dropping games with random team mates - like every single other online ranked team play game out there. Maybe soon TM. In: COH2 Gameplay

Thread: What happened to Relic?29 Aug 2014, 03:16 AM You're making the incorrect assumption that CoH1 was perfect from day 1. Far from it, it had just as many problems if not more, that were addressed at a much slower rate. People really need to take off the rose colored glasses and realise CoH1 isn't the perfect gem they believe it to be. As for the actual staff changes, the only notable name that is absent to me is Josh Mosqueira who was the lead designer of CoH1, he's now moved on to blizzard and is the project lead for Diablo 3. How instrumental is the lead designer in the development of a game? I honestly have no idea but perhaps his absence is the answer you are looking for, but it would be unfair to the rest of the employees to assume one man was the be all and end all of a project. I'm also pretty sure the turnover rate in the games industry is one of the highest, some employees will stay at a company for 6-12 months and then move on. But people like Quin Duffy have been there for years. In: Lobby
