The extra mortar is basically saying - Okay USF can have its cake and eat it too. Rifle nade and ost mortar is exactly the same case you know... you want to remove ost mortar or rifle nade now? Furthermore, if a mortar is really needed, the USF has a mortar halftrack anyway. I don't quite understand why a mortar is needed for USF in T0 when USF has a lot of options up its sleeve for MG counters and indirect fire. Do you even understand why the mortar was added in the first place and why its specifically T0 and not tech locked? Do you understand why its T0 and not doctrinal locked? In: COH2 Balance

Plus remove AA capabiliies of AA gun. Planes are not off-maps, except for Stuka dive bomb, they are all on-maps. They are call-ins, but most certainly not off-maps. Off map artillery strikes are exactly that, imaginary arty, which resides OFF MAP is shooting on map. Planes are temporary units that are called in for the timer, number of strikes or until shot down, but they are still units. You're literally comparing apples to oranges here and generally make no sense. In: COH2 Balance

Again, the issues boil down to skill at the end. And what is zook blob to you? Because 3 rifles with dual zooks will be a-moved by LMG grens and mixed set up can NOT keep up with kiting P4. Getting more then 3 rifles isn't a good idea or you'll bleed too much. Alternatively, ask your teammate to assist you with super fast, super durable luchs. In: COH2 Balance

That is why I'm saying it would need to be surgical. Thing with grens(and tommies) is, they have high damage AND high accuracy already and the adjustment like that makes sense for high damage, low accuracy units, like old RETs, conscripts, especially CEs. There are just some accuracy values you can't go over with, or the unit will end up as it did in March Deployment patch. In: COH2 Balance

You seem to be ignoring the fact that grenadiers have a higher DPS than their allied counterparts to make up for their smaller squad size. That depends on unit you compare it to. They outperform cons at all ranges for DPS, but are falling short on long vs tommies and beat them in short range, they slightly beat rifles at long, but lose by a long shot at short. This is for DPS ONLY before fanboys will rush in with "but X loses to Y anyway!". In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Conscripts and Grenadiers DPS28 Jun 2016, 12:26 PM Jump back to quoted post28 Jun 2016, 12:11 PMmedhood I think both Conscripts and Grenadiers should have reduced damage but increased accuracy so they will do more consistent damage aswell as be upto date with other infantry That is always a great solution for engineers/osttrupen type of infantry, it would most certainly improve reliability of conscripts since they are already very low accuracy unit that quickly becomes ineffective above range 10 with inclusion of cover, but with grens, thing is, they already have pretty good accuracy at all ranges and changes here, if any, would need to be minor and surgical, otherwise accuracy vet could completely out-scale and negate rec acc vet. Its not me, it's the p4 I paid 125 + tech cost fuel for yet can't handle a single lousy riflemen squad without getting engine damaged unless you focus all your attention on the stupid p4 and constantly kite at max range, which will prevent the p4 from hitting anything. Behold a revelation: Penals are supposed to eat grens, they cost much more. Tommies are supposed to eat grens, they cost much more. Rifles are supposed to eat grens, they cost much more. Now, add an MG or sniper to the mix and you have a whole different situation. Grens are SUPPOSED TO BE EATEN ALIFE IF UNSUPPORTED. Squashy 4 men mainline infantry unit eaten alive by double upgraded riflemen, double upgraded tommies. Now even non doc soviet infantry shit on them in the form of penals. 240mp+60mun is being eaten alife by 280mp 120/140mun or 300mp 60mun is problem why again? Grens are the most expensive mainline infantry unit to reinforce. They only have 4 men and one weapon upgrade. Them not having a fith man was linked to it screwing up the soviet-ost matchup. Guess what, penals rape grens now and a 5th man is definitely needed to keep grens viable. In case you've missed the memo for the last 2 years: GRENS ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO WORK ALONE, THEY WILL FAIL IF YOU SPAM GRENS ALONE. Grens are supposed to be used with support of HMGs and Snipers, BECAUSE THEY ARE INTENDED TO BE COUNTERED BY MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE UNITS. Using grens without combined arms is about as smart and efficient as is using RETs exclusively to repair USF vehicles-it just won't work, because its not supposed to be done this way. That still isn't any excuse to buff what doesn't need buffs. In: Lobby
