You give up a bit of close range DPS and gain massive long range and on the move increase, so its at very worst a side grade with more benefits then downsides.

Maybe it's 'cause the Axis players aren't a bunch of forum crybabies, and they keep their cool and fight the uphill battle, unlike some of their "allied" counterparts.

and they still lose to penal while paying more MP and munition, seems a bit contradictory for the price tag You forgot about shitload of abilities for AT, AI and scouting vs a whooping fuck all+need of upfront investment+having to carry whole tier on their backs without support from ATGs or HMGs, both of which PFs enjoy without any issue. PFs price comes from utility you get. If they didn't had nades, at nades, flare, additional sight post upgrade then yeah, they would need to be cheaper/perform better for the cost. Stop pretending PFs and penals have exact same army composition behind them and have equal amount of combat utility, because they clearly don't and again, they don't compete against penals for pop, they compete with volks, compare their performance and upgrades to volks, not penals. What kind of mental gymnastics that is? Are you legally obligated to use all doctrinal abilities if it has one specific you want to have? Do you just get them automatically when you have enough mp in the bank? Do you really think people get units just because they are in a doctrine with specific unit they want? Do you think Assault Guards were very popular when 76mm sherman was soviet meta? According to your logic right there, they should be popular meta infantry choice, because 76mm sherman was a go-to unit. It will break your heart, but not all doctrines, units and abilities are equally viable in all game modes and that's perfectly fine and that isn't my opinion, but what multiple members of balance team said across multiple patches. PFs in 2s and up are potent and very frequent sight, they are also pretty difficult to fight against post first 3 minutes. Partisans will never be team game unit and PFs will never be 1v1 unit. And? This is how they are supposed to work according to balance team. This is literally them working as intended. Seriously what is wrong with allowing OKW infantry to be able to collect enemy equipment if they drop any ? Do what soviets have to do now if you want to pick up shit - don't upgrade if you feel you may get lucky. Same question goes for the Volksgrenadier. The fact that OKW mainlines can NOT pick up dropped weapons forces you to pick them up with something like Sturmpioneers or Obersoldaten. Or you can not upgrade all squads asap. In: COH2 Balance |
