Well wasnt the sherman in a fine place beforehand? It had decent AP with the normal AP rounds and nice anti infantry with the HE shells. I dont understand why they implemented it. Its doctrinal sherman, not regular one. They had nothing better to put into mechanized, so they have put soviet lend-lease sherman and do not seem to know where to go with it. It wants to be somewhere between easy8 and jackson, but I don't see why would I want it over any of the two. In: Lobby |

What about making the HVAP rounds a 20-50 fuel upgrade for the Sherman 76? This would make it a Panzer IV equivalent by default (as its price would suggest) but buying this upgrade would put it at Panther gun level (as the upgrade price would then suggest) - allowing good scalability that is healthy for balance. Perhaps add a small armor bonus too. Why wouldn't you just get a cheaper jackson with 50% more range then? 76mm was made into cheaper ez8, now its being made into AI capable low range jackson. 250 Halftrack cannot reinforce when dug in. -New ability - Dig-In - Immobilizes the half-track, but reduces damage by 50%, increases range by 10, and grants moderate weapon suppression. Because it can't and shouldn't. And regarding 76mm sherman, that new ammo, its still weaker easy8 with extra steps. Ever since it was put in the doctrine it feels completely out of place to me. I also don't feel 221/223 should have smoke, a little bit too many light vehicles can have smoke, especially on axis side (the only two lights who can't have smoke are luchs and stuka). I only pick special little flowers like yourself, who spout uncontrolled amounts of bullshit. so...you wanna tell us that is the same issue to lose a 6 model squad like a 4model squad which wipe much more often be the first hit from tanks, grenades, indirect fire and so one? If you're overextending, it doesn't matter if the squad has 4, 6 or 10 men, if you retreat on last man, wipe chances are higher. AoE of weapons is balanced around what they are fighting. Allied weapons are balanced to combat 4 men squads, axis weapons are balanced to combat 6 men squads. Squad spacing changes were made specifically to mitigate random wipes on lower count squads and it works, unless you specifically try to clump up. and if u could count you would realize that you must often retreat your wher sqauds when losing 2 models...and not like a 6model sqaud where you can lose 4 models and will have even than the same chance to not get a wipe. And if you knew numbers above 6, you would know that axis infantry has overall much higher accuracy. You would also be capable to understand that these 6 model squads to not have 80% of DPS centered around a single model, meaning losing 50% of the gren squad have minimal effect on DPS, while cons reduced to half have dps reduced to half. sov is the bets faction to learn the game when you start wioth this game. wehr is maybe the best in the hands from the best...in the hands from starter and well know player...sov is totally easy... So this is why wehr was spanking sov left and right during this weekends finals? Or are you going to argue that top 10 players of all factions are too much of a noob to understand the game and factions? Would you like you provide a replays supporting your claims? Because last weekend we have seen the utter dominance of ostheer over allies, soviets included. if u would suggest ost over sov to a starter ---you would be evil. If you are suggesting otherwise, you are not only uninformed, but also ignorant and delusional, especially in light of CGS2 finals. sov is the best allie faction which require much less micro and less skill to deal with your enemy. 6 model squads which aree very effective vs most targets...the very good units...the less wipes...you can be bad..but would have the best winchance with them. Sov is the best allied faction(not best overall, that would be wehr currently), but not for a single reason you've mentioned. The core army is able to respond to any situation and threat and adapt, just like wehr is stronger then OKW in that regard. You need just as much micro if not more with soviets, because units have lower dps therefore stay longer in combat even if they are winning, therefore require -MORE- attention. If model count had anything to do with what you're trying to assume, osttruppen, panzerfussiliers and paras would be the best and most spammed infantry in game. Wipes 80% of the time depend on your ability to take and leave engagements then model count. If a 6 man squad will be waiting to last model, it'll be wiped just as easily as 4 man squad waiting for last model before retreating. Soviets are also mostly picked for exact same reason wehr is - they are part of BASE game, which people get first from promotions, discounts and humble bundles. In: COH2 Balance |
