Because the universe would implode when an OKW player has to face MG42s and Snipers.
And ostheer wouldn't?
Having to face invisible anti tank gun, murdering 251 flamer rush and infantry that actually matches grens field presence, but stomps them for only a sliver of menpower more? |
again maybe u don't understand so here form the patch notes:
OKW CHANGES
Starting Resources
• Starting fuel reduced from 10 to 5
everyone else start with 20(i don't remember ukf) that's -15 fuel from the start so it's 50 fuel to reach instead, again tell me how everything is free
I don't think you know what you're talking about here...
It makes ZERO sense what you just said and whatever point you're trying to make, you're the only one who can see it, you're doing METH, not MATH.
OKW needs a total of 35 fuel to pump 221, they start with 5, that means they need to gather 30 fuel to get 221.
Everything you try to add on top of that is utter nonsense.
Also.... you DO realize you do NOT need to DEPLOY truck to call 221? Just have one on field? |
If you are incuding M20, you might just as well include 222.
Not that it makes any sens to do so for either of them.
again u are forgetting okw start with 15 less fu than other
15 fuel for truck + 20 fuel for 221 is how much?
|
yea and the 221 comes only after 50 fuel what's the problem
I wonder if free fausts, in case of ost from get go and in case for volks around 2nd-3rd minute, but get T0 ATG while allies have no access to snares at the time 221 comes could be one.
(its rethorical question, the answer is yes, that) |
I just want to refocus discussion.
What do people feel the issue with the 221/223 is (if any):
Is the 221 coming too late?
Is the 221 too expensive?
Is the 221 too vulnerable to small arms?
Is the 221 too vulnerable to non-small arms (weapons with pen greater than 1, in this case)?
Is the 221 not killing infantry well enough?
Is the 221 not killing snipers well enough?
Is the 221 not killing vehicles well enough?
Is the 221 not bringing enough utility?
The bulk of the discussion so far is about how well the 221 does against the m3. If the issue is that it doesnt do well enough against vehicles, then I would think along the lines of a pen buff, as this doesnt risk breaking its performance against infantry targets, and still keeps it vulnerable to small arms (which we probably do want, considering its timing window, pending any arguments otherwise).
Imo 221 issue is with 221 existence all together.
Only purpose of 221 is to upgrade to 223.
Its firepower is decent and its going to 1 burst kill sniper(2 on the move).
Given there is puppchen in T0, it shouldn't have any meaningful performance against lights.
And its cost both, makes little sense for 221 itself and at the same time can not be lowered, because then 221 swarm would easily overrun USF or brits.
221 should not exist, it should just be 223 only, I can't see a single logical reason why 221 would exist other then give OKW something to build in early game that isn't volks. |
Ive actually believed the stuart is disliked because of how much of a generalist it is.
Its moderate anti infantry (it will force off capping units; yes, this does take a fair while). Its moderate anti tank that keeps anything less than a puma from doing what it wants to do. Its moderate utility, with its engine and stun shot. With veterancy, its scouting as well.
The thing is, in my opinion, its 70 fuel price tag is a result of its performance in ALL of these areas, and getting value out of this unit means utilizing it in every single one of these roles. While I definitely wouldnt say its in the best spot power wise, it helps if you dont think about whichever light vehicle you would rather have in the given situation, because the stuart will never be the preferred vehicle in a given role.
Agreed.
Its so generalist in fact that its performance is sub par at everything it does.
While generalist meds are just that, depending on use and approach can tackle different threats, Stuart is just... meeeh against literally everything it engages.
Facing stuart is facing inconvenience, not a threat. |
I try to say it as mildly as I can here, but I can really be sure that the last patch was one of the worst experiences of my CoH2 play.
JLI spamming is really terrible. Now OKW can only count all combinations of allies when producing JLI and Jagdpanzer since middle of game.
JLI has a total problem. It is too cost effective and easily breaks the core of the infantry battle. I really can not stop it though I know that my opponent is using JLI, where they are going, and what tactics to use.
It's such a bad experience.
Then imagine that in WFA beta JLI had 3 men, permanent sprint in and out of combat and more firing range then any other squad AND sight range to abuse it.
These JLI are pretty tame compared to old ones.
Cost decrease was completely unneeded. |
I know stats mean not everything, but in last tournament double soviets won 55% of their games, double wehr won only 38%.
Many here talk so, like soviets are hopeless underpowered and need this stronger and that cheaper, the lost gren can be easier replaced and such things.
If the stats would be the other way round you could talk about it, but so, you have to be careful to make soviets not even stronger with all this proposals, or at least make some other unit, like penals, weaker in exchange.
Factions overall may be fine and balanced, but it doesn't mean a single unit isn't op/up.
Want an example?
Brummbar.
Was ost super op as a whole?
Nope, it was just brummbar.
Same case with soviets and cons, soviets do fine, its cons who are completely unusable outside of ppsh doctrines.
Plus, its mainline infantry, the one unit in the whole faction that should be the backbone of it is just a wet noodle and as you might have noticed, you can't build much on wet noodles. |
well good luck then hunting snipers with lmg grens. This would buther the effective moving dps even further.
You hunt them with grens?
What else?
You counter tank destroyers by frontal medium tank charges? |
I'd like to be like the Airborne strafes in vCoH, though a lot of people think they were, a bit over the top when used well.
-Oh, you have a sniper?
*click*
-Now you don't.
-Oh, a PE blob?
*click*
-Oh, a pile of dead corpses and free win.
You literally had to be lobotomized to not "use it well". |
