The argument here isn't it being too powerful. In terms of game balance, I think they feel about right. How many times must I repeat this?
The problem, which I explain in detail in post #90, is that countering these grenades requires little thought but a large number of player actions. Most of CoH's design is the other way around.
Therefore I'd like to see either manual targeting or the grenades to be made faster and undodgeable.
Its easier to run UP to a squad then from it.
It takes one click within 20 range of RETs.
1-2PGs/AGs will do the job for ost and OKW can just continue rolling on volks and do the same.
And if there is RET spam with nades, LV will completely shut it down. |
I just like the fact that this issue completely invalidates all the "allied TDs are OP REEEEEE" threads, because now they are more needed in that state then ever.
Sooo many units .. why can admit that this one is simple op in teamgames ? Pls can u focus on that because i feel your next post will be about jackson arive too early too or woverine
Rule #1, can't condemn axis units, because krupp steel. |
You mean like how there will be 2-3 minutes when the Sherman will be alone and will have a field day?
There is what, a 65 fuel difference between a Sherman arrives and when the panther arrives for it to be unopposed, turn on HE rounds and make value.
I wouldn't call being chased away by puma exactly a "field day".
That Stuart/M15/Greyhound won't kill itself(unless you're facing meh player).
|
If you opponent has a single Panther you should have more than single Sherman...else you are simply doing something wrong.
Unless its OKW.
There will be at least 2-3 minutes when sherman will be alone vs panther.
Bottom line remains M36 if far more cost efficient counter to a medium tank than Panther.
Its easier to get it, its easier to lose it and its price reflects that.
And sure, M36 is as cost efficient against meds as JP4 or StuG.
If you're getting panther instead of JP4/stug, you're anticipating heavy, not cost effectively countering meds. |
I wouldn’t mind that.
I think it would help incentivize Riflemen as you’re core unit instead of Rear Echelons, Pathfinders, Rangers or Paratroopers.
They’re supposed to be the core of your army, so I think a slight cost reduction to encourage that would be ok. No stat buffs though, they’re already in an ok place.
But back on topic;
Does anyone else have an idea on how to implement a USF 6 man Rifleman upgrade or does anyone have feedback on my Veteran Sergeant upgrade idea as an add on to rifle company?
Since you seem to be blissfully unaware, USF could do nothing but spam rifles for 4 years, that changed only recently with their tech rework, allowing them to actually use any other infantry then rifles in higher quantity then one without hogging most of your pop cap.
There isn't anything wrong with rifles and they most certainly do not need to be incentivised more then they already are.
They are perfectly fine and strong squad. |
Check the price difference between PzIV and M36 and Panther and Sherman.
Now check the range difference.
Finally if in your pinion Panther is causing problem lets mirror it's stat, timing , tech cost to M36 and see how it goes.
I can already hear the endless REEEEEE from axis players who now actually have to watch for flanks and can't overextend and still escape with panther.
Don't know as others, but I am perfectly fine with halving panthers armor, cutting a third of its current health, giving it 10 more range and lowering its cost. |
Im not quite sure what you mean. Wasnt the subject imo
How it wasn't the subject?
He clearly pointed out that all other factions have secondary(some even tetrary) TDs, more potent ATGs and/or more efficient handheld AT, which justifies jackson performance considering its inferior AT support.
You responded with vehicle crews and field presence.
So again, how do vehicle crews and extra 60 seconds of engineer unit on field help with AT for USF? |
What are crews and increased field presence while teching?
How does that help countering tanks again? |
The one thing I never had any problems with until razer moved my mouse to legacy devices and no longer supported it.
Fucking keybinds.
Sadly, I don't have 3 hands to cover all the needed keys. |
Perhaps giving a starting unit the power of a mortar may be a tad imbalanced?
Perhaps not staying at maximum range with your gren blob and actually closing in will fix your problem?
And to the guy saying "but dey defndud by BAR RIfulZ", so use 2 panzergrens and steamroll them over, single dual bar rifle aren't going to stop that in any way and most certainly RET rifles aren't, cost should be similar. |
