The problem is with the Maxin and the mortars (both).
Maxim: you hit retreat, the gunner starts to pack up and gets killed, then the next guy goes to the maxim and he gets killed and then the next guy... and so on till the last guy is dead.
The same happens with the mortars.
The only thing they fixed (a long time ago) is the retreat of the MG42. When the guy who is packing gets killed, the animation continues anyway with another guy who is 5 meters away.
The should do this on maxims and morters too or change the MG42 back.
It happens in Offline game too. So it cant be Lag.
It is that shity engine that the game has or that the engine is bad optimized or it is the freaking Drivers.
I think it is 1 and 2 (the Engine sucks in many ways, programm/optimization - wise, not graphics-wise).
I think both, the Sherman and the Puma are a little bit to strong as it is right now. They both destroy tanks and infantry way to fast even without vet. Yesterday i played one game vs. AI to test the Puma, at vet 3, it destroyed 2 cons (not veted) in about 5-8 sec. I'm not kidding.
Are you still trying to convince yourself that CoH2 is a good game and worth all the money you have spent on it? Let me tell you something for nothing, CoH2 is rubbish and so are you.
And you still trying to convince us that the game sucks? What i sad life you must have!!

I have this too online and offline. I think i read something a while ago about this (from relic i think). It has something to do with the Workshop. If you have lots of custom maps it does cause problems. I am not 100% sure about that. Anyway, i think it startet with the "battle server patch".
I don't know, lets hope Relic will inform us!!!!!!!!!
