I think all Japanese troops should run a little faster and be less deterred by fire. They should be like 'Knight's cross holders' when it comes to MG and shell fire.

All Japanese regular infantry should all have a muni ability that involves an entity that tosses a satchel charge.

The japanese should rely on infantry to knock out tanks.

Japanese is tough to do. The Soviets completely annihilated them in what is perhaps the greatest and most lopsided victory of WW2: the Soviet invasion of Manchuria, operation August Storm. The lost of the Manchurian armies and the atom bombs put Japan on the Surrender table.

You should try Men of War. They did the Japanese and, like other factions...included all the japanese prototype armor which makes the faction rather artificial IMO.

A COH version of the Japanese should focus heavily on fanatical infantry, light tanks, air support, and light artillery. The Japanese were a Navy & Air force military.

Japanese Paratroopers and commando units were fanatical and rather interesting. Japanese soldiers should have special suicidal ability.

As for Anti-tank...that's going to be tough. They were outclassed by the West and even their AT guns were not good enough. Perhaps they should have a lot of satchel and pole charges.

Suicidal attacks with infantry jumping on tanks with a satchel (to guarantee a penetration) or ramming a pole charge into the flank (penetrating and then killing themselves in the process).

Many the core German units (I mentioned) in both vCOH and COH were fielded in numbers less than 100 or less than 50.

I remember from VCOH there was even the G-wagon- essentially a rare field modification of captured French tanks. There was also the Recovery Tiger.

I agree with Mr. Someguy. The pursuit of novelty is dangerous. I think iconic / core Wehr units should make the grade, even if only as call-ins.

There's a lot of prototype US heavy armor that were produced with similar or greater numbers (produced in the hundreds). T20, T22, T23, T24, T25.

They were not fielded however, but if the Germans had this kit they would have fielded it right away and we'd see in videogames decades later....

The super pershing's gun had excellent penetration: 220mm @ 30 degree s/1000 meters with Tungsten ammo. This is considerably more than the King Tiger's frontal plate even with sloping put into consideration.

In combat conditions I believe that it would be penetrated.

Since COH series always have ultra rare AFVs like Jagdtiger and Sturmtiger...they should allow the US faction the Super Pershing. The Sturmtiger is particularly funny as it barely has a combat record yet it's the star of the expansion.

It would be cool to play as USA and have the super tank for a change...

Just a theory: It looks like Katip 'studies' hard by using the forums, and then uses his knowledge to perhaps test a few strats with AI, and then plays a real game. Meticulous.. that is why his win/lose ratio is so high.

You spend more time posting on here than actually playing the game. In fact you have over 7x the amount of posts here as games played.
