I&R pathfinders are fine, most deadly and 3 CP arty in the game. Best arty hands down.
And why not in enemy territory like all other spawn out of building units?

So there are four units in USF's unit composition that are close to being absolutely worthless now.
The M8A1 is the most ninja nerfed unit in the game with its AOE nerfed multiple times for no reason. I havent seen it in ages, it really is inferior to the Sherman in every way. Make it deal consistent and effective damage again.
The Greyhound used to be a solid unit with a great canister shot, but once it got its canister nerfed and main gun buffed a little bit to compensate it got extinct, along with the doctrine. I would buff its canister shot again, along with a small armor buff so it cant get beaten by a Luchs easily without support. Also, fix the bugs of the doctrine, add some extra flavour to the IR pathfinders and change the paratrooper call in group.
The WC51 costs 20 fuel for no reason and has trouble beating a Kübel atm which can cap at an increased rate and fight reasonably well at a distance. It also costs no fuel. Do something with the WC51.
The M3 halftrack call in in the same doctrine could also use a juicy buff as the vehicle you get for the price is a sad joke.
Fixing these units and doctrines would cause more variety to be present, the changes wouldnt be very hard to do.

Rifle Company is still good imo.
Flamer Echelons help out a lot against buildings and green cover ( i recommend 2 of them )
Sprint is ok.
Flares are rarely used, but quite useful if you actually remember to use them.
White Phosphorus barrage is great
And EZ8's are amazing tanks, although they require T4.
Mech company is a hidden gem. Use the WC51 to gain a good early game advantage, use refit, get light vehicles and refit them too. It basically lets you rush light and medium vehicles at the same time because you can keep refitting. Its 8CP barrage is also very useful for destroying OKW trucks. This doc requires a lot of skill and good execution tho.
Recon Company used to be my favourite, but the greyhound got nerfed way too hard. It sadly is not worth it anymore. The rest of the doc is either bugged or not cost effective. Dont use recon company as it is now.
Other than that, go full meta with calliopes and enjoy easy wins. |

If you are looking at my player card it doesn't included 1v1s from ESL turnys as well as total number of games. I main OKW and Brits in 1v1 so far and I would go as far to say OKW is my best 1v1 faction as much as I dislike their tech and unit structure. That by no means that I only play allies but I do favor the allied play as its units allow for more meaningful outcomes due to their limitations.
The Brits as a whole, rely on the AEC to carry them, its a crutch such as OKW when their tech was being limited by their income. Their units were more potent to make up for lack in their tech, and in my opinion is a bad way to balance a game. For now thats what brits are, if you lose the AEC, you lose the 1v1 and if you are only calling me out because Ive solo que'd 1v1 germs in auto match 4 times means my 2000 hours of gameplay is irrelevant then sir you are looking in the wrong places to say someones argument is invalid.
OST has many options and light counters available to counter the AEC, if you don't know what they are then you should look for them and try different strats to counter it. Its hard to counter yes, but its not a "I lose as soon as the AEC hits the field". As I said the pgrenz are the meta for 1v1's and even double 222's or a single one can do decent damage to it while trading alright as they only cost 20fuel vs the AEC 50. I wouldn't recommend packs as its hard to line a shot up and it can simply pop smoke. If u are OKW it should be easier due to the Rekten cloak
As I said in my first post I said the AEC does need a timing change, or a debuff, but no changes to its role and combat abilities.

I love going for 3 rifles into LT for a fast M20 or a fast M15 AA HT coupled with either 1 or 2 HMGs.
Just make sure you dont end up without any AT all of a sudden. You can either tech Cpt afterwards, go airborne or tech quick Major if things are going well fuel wise. |
