Thread: A genuine thank you to relic and the developers26 Sep 2013, 20:22 PM
Keep up with the timely updates, and get in custom keybindings, and you'll not only have thanks from me, but you'll have extra money from DLC sales. In: COH2 Gameplay |
Thread: Censhorship on the forums26 Sep 2013, 20:21 PM
Oh big boy you are so mature. It was just something that struck me. And by the way making this personal, you aren't discussing with any real arguments either, are you? Hah! Don't get huffy puffy with me when you're the one trying to toss in the whole censorship argument like the word meant something on these forums. And fuky, read the last post of your topic, and your own post. You yourself say there's already a topic for what you posted. You should have used it. Instead, you created an entirely new topic just to whine. Can you imagine how these forums would look if the mods just let everyone post nothing but whine in new threads? Nothing interesting would stay on the front page of the forum, it would fill up with whine. And even if there wasn't a problem, human nature is to whine about anything. People would find stuff to whine about. In: COH2 Gameplay |
Thread: Censhorship on the forums26 Sep 2013, 18:22 PM
Also, it's called moderation. The term censorship really only applies when it's a larger controlling body and a wider group of people. Fools like to bandy about the term, like what they had to say was worth censoring in the first place. Usually, it's how you said something that got you moderated. Moderation's intent is to make sure that you use some thought into what you post. You can actually discuss a lot of stuff, even be pretty damn negative if you want, the key is, don't be an idiot when posting it. There's plenty of other places on the internet to go for completely unmoderated discussion, and the reason why you're not there is because you wouldn't last in that situation anyway. ![]() So be careful what you wish for. Thread: Multiplayer # of players searching display26 Sep 2013, 18:15 PM
There is already a percentage of searching indicator. So the faction switching argument doesn't work. Players just need to know if people are searching, and which faction has less. The solutions already brought up should suffice. In: COH2 Gameplay |

It's kind of hilarious actually. Just shows that Relic is probably missing a chunk of their playtesters in the fallout from THQ. In: COH2 Balance |
Thread: My attempt at unbiased Balance Post Patch26 Sep 2013, 12:46 PM
T-34 rams were nerfed against heavy armor, it has considerably less effect, and is no longer a guaranteed main gun disabled. T-34 if it goes behind a tiger, still isn't going to kill it. And 4 shots is not that long. And I'm saying build nothing but KV-1s, but I am saying, you want that KV-1 up front in the Tiger's face as part of a larger army. I think you have some tunnel vision here thinking I'm telling you to build nothing but KV-1s. The optimal army is some KV-1s, and some T-34s or AT guns. The KV-1 is what you move in front, taking the initial shots from the enemy, which allows your T-34s to rush in without taking extra damage to their somewhat low HP. This allows your T-34s to do the stuff you describe, without getting blown up instantly by a supporting Pak40 or P4, or just getting shot down by the tiger. In: COH2 Balance |
Thread: My attempt at unbiased Balance Post Patch26 Sep 2013, 10:33 AM
The T-34 would have been blown up in a few shots from the tiger. Even the tiger's rear armor regularly deflects flank shots. Sure, the T-34 costs less, but that doesn't matter if it blows up and you lose those resources. The KV-1 may cost more, but you're far less likely to lose the resources you put into it. The KV-1 isn't supposed to excel at any particular target. It is supposed to excel at being the target. In: COH2 Balance |
Thread: My attempt at unbiased Balance Post Patch26 Sep 2013, 10:23 AM
It has the same gun at the T-34. It should not be hurting the tiger from the front. However, from what you describe, it still did its job as they kept the tiger from moving past and going for your IS-2. In: COH2 Balance |
Thread: My attempt at unbiased Balance Post Patch26 Sep 2013, 10:10 AM
That's pretty much as intended. Now, if you'd had say a couple T-34s flanking, or AT Gun, or an SU-85 backing up the KV-1, you would have made the tiger retreat while most of the damage goes on the KV-1. It's supposed to be just enough of a threat so that it can't be ignored, but tough enough that it can survive what's thrown at it. In: COH2 Balance |
Thread: hull down + stug26 Sep 2013, 10:05 AM
Hull Down is a tank/vehicle combat term where the hull of the tank is behind cover, only exposing the often heavily armored turret. You can instantly bust out of a hull down position. The point of being able to have range on the SU-85 is that it can't shoot at you without you being able to shoot back. Hull down provides some other significant benefits, but those were always canceled out by the SU-85s simply sitting back beyond your range. Now it can't. In: COH2 Balance |
