elchino7: basically chino is chinese in spanish. While i'm from a japanese family, it's common in my country to use the word chino as a nickname for people who are not even close to been asian.
It's been a cheap throwaway nick for quite a while.
Chukonoku: wololo.
Comes from this AoE II unit, which are armed with Chu ko nu, which are basically a repeating crossbow. I played random faction and RNG used to put me to play with this faction. I used to wrongly called them like that and later on i just grabbed it as my gamer nickname.
"Didn´t he know when purchasing COH2 that more factions, and more commanders were to come? if not, then it´s his fault for paying money for something he doesn´t know....if yes, I don´t know what he is whinning about it...."
I'm sure someone can link it but the CM or some developer specifically said prior to release that DLC won't have any effect on gameplay. I know, i know, THQ debacle, "Premium limited editions" and yadayadaya. I think we have discussed that for a lot of time.
There's a new warspoil system around the corner, so i don't think it's worth to complain about P2W rather than how the system should be implemented.
For me it's simple: selling factions is perfectly fine but commanders is not. There should be a grindable but not RNG way to get them (see old Assault support for OH) or have them available to use but they should degrade if you don't buy/unlock them.
This is not a F2P and we are on an RTS.
The fact that if you want to play competitively you need this is kinda sad:
The fact that commanders are more expensive than the game or faction is even more sad.
Cause this is Monday, official forums should be ready soon™ and somehow this thread has 76 post i'll try to fix it up.
First of all a TL;DR:
PD: use paragraphs and b/ i/ u/.
OP is complaining mainly about vet3 double 1919 rifles and cons (lol) blobs. Squad pacing affecting 4 man squads and OH having no "elite" infantry.
I'm gonna transform this into something more reasonable:
First of all: reminder that veterancy is broken & Storm having wrong vet requirements. Once we see offensive vet fixed, we will see if they are real terminators or not.
1-Conscripts: i'll rather see a mp reinforce cost decrease at vet3 so they actually are meant to screen for other units on the late game (new Penals or other elite). I'm failing to see this cons blob when mainly more people are just going with maxims.
2-1919 should be limited to one per squad. Double 1919 should be only a Paratrooper thing. I don't have problems with double Bars as they are more ARs than LMGs.
3-For RNGesus love, space out Falls squad a bit.
4-PG and maybe Storms, should get their veterancy tweaked. Smooth the performance between vet0/1 and vet2.
The Soviet sniper is fine. It's the Ostheer sniper that does too well.
I would actually like to see all snipers be 2 man squads with low health. That way you actually get some MP drain if you get flanked instead of getting away with 2hp and 0mp loss.
It's more plausible to get the SU sniper bring up to their level than moving the performance of both OH or UKF sniper down.
They are already pretty strong, just in a crappy tier building. Giving them 82 health like the one man squads will make them ridiculous. They already cannot be counter sniped effectively, their primary counter is indirect.
I'll prefer it been a 1 man sniper with slower RoF, but it seems the "soul of the unit" is to be a 2 man squad. Something i forgot to mention, is that i also want the spotter to get the weapon disabled.
Luvnest words.
Actually I kinda wanna disagree. I tried T1 with a sniper to countersnipe devm's sniper in OCF. The Soviet sniper team is extremely clumsy. The moment it steps out of cover it decloaks meanwhile its Ostheer counterpart can walk from one side of the map to another while beeing camouflaged. This means that the Soviet sniper is only able to countersnipe once you pushed your opponent back and set up an ambush. Which is rarely happening since you are short on infantry (maybe 2,3 cons against MG42, 3 Grens, Sniper) and give up a lot of early map control which you would have with a 3 Con T2 opening. Plus the danger of a 222 forces you to either pick a doctrine for guards or T2 for AT gun. If you just go AT nades you will be pushed back eventually.
I really wish that Soviet sniper was just one guy with decent camouflage for manouvering. Plus the spotter is super awkward since he shoots sometimes by himself, revealing the other sniper too. Good players can deal with Soviet sniper quite well to be honest.
Penals: they must up a bit their damage (reduce amount of SVT but make them worth). They could get guards mosin by default and let them upgrade into SVT with flamer or DPs.
Give them an interesting vet1 ability instead of tripwire.
Sniper: increase sniper model health to 82hp. Reduce sniper model sight to infantry levels and leave spotter sight as it's now.
Let the sniper cloak after leaving cover for a 1s-1.5s and tight up the formation.
Reduce flare cost (IIRC from 60 to 45) and/or make it also reveal cloaked units.
