For delaying actions, I guess?
They're free, so how much can you expect? |
I find that a lot of the time, actions with left-click fail.
It's especially annoying with stuff like ram or interacting with buildings. But also air strikes, nades and similar abilities often require two or three attempts before it works. Ie. I left click on the ability, left-click on the map and nothing happens. Try again, try again (and then too often the window of opportunity has passed).
Left-click works for all other kinds of purposes, so it's not a broken mouse. And I have no trouble - ever - with right-click actions so it's hardly command lag.
What could the problem be? And is there anything I can do to fix it? |
lol.
In a recent attempt, a BUSH blocked my ram. Ie. the AI drove the tank into a bush and then the ram was aborted.
I think it's a bit too bulky that you need to take all kinds of factors into consideration for a ram to be successfull. Quite often you only have a second to decide it before the T34 is killed itself.
I find my self clicking and re-clicking a lot on ram before it actually activates. What's the deal with that? |
I'll admit that German units were better equipped and trained than any others in WW2 but seriously, what's with the sprinting Panzer Grenadiers with Panzerzrecks?
I'm sick of these squads just running at my tanks and tanking them down, and this is where I'm sure you'll tell me that my tanks are unprotected, they're not. I've got other squads around them but nothing takes down the PG's before they get in range and take out my SU85s. It's not so bad with T3 tanks as they're pretty good AI and I can make the PG's pay while backing off, but T4 is pathetic versus infantry and sluggish to the point of being ridiculous.
Overall I can live with the Pfausts 100% accuracy and ability to 100% of the time take out my engine but the PG's with panzerzrecks are just too much.
At least rename the unit Crazy Sprinting Super Anti Tank Team so I can get a laugh out of it when it happens.
Are you aware of the cost of those shrek-upgraded pgrens? Have you played the german side with them?
I get hit by this too, but I realise that it's simply because I'm not carefull enough in an area with such a powerfull and expensive unit.
I kind of like the rock-paper-scissors part of the game and here's definately a point where tanks can quickly meet their maker.
It would be terribly boring if tanks were untouchable steel-giants. |
I used to struggle with At in this game too, but working with it, I find that they are in fact OK.
What broke the ice for me was when I started to use them in pairs instead of just 1 AT gun to cover one position.
One AT gun doesn't cut it against 1 tank (except T70) and I think that's completely fair.
So no, I don't think a change is needed (for ATG, that is). |
They could remove them, but are they going to refund everyone's money that bought them too?
If they are any clever, they could just change the content so it requires skill to use.
Removing the commander all together is probably unlikely, yes. |
I think there's a misunderstanding about the idea.
There's no splitting up as everyone can play both modes.
Perhaps you are referring to automatching, but allready today you don't get matched with the total population of players anyway, but just a segment. This would not change the size if the matching pool for any kind of player. |
Following the latest discussions and the fair amount of frustration about recent Developments, I kind of arrived to the conclusion, that it will probably not be possible to match the general sentiment on this forum with the commercial targets for Sega/Relic.
This is why I now suggest to Relic to make two game modes avaialable: a competitive and a casual (or maybe chose a better name for the latter).
It would still be the same game, but in the competitive mode, the wider range of commanders are disabled and balance is tuned to the play in the competitive mode.
In the casual mode, every add-on is available.
I'm envisaging that this could be done within the same game. Ie. I'm not asking for two separate games, but just a selection in the UI somewhere. Such as on the screen where one today select between multiplayer, skrimish or campaign.
The advantage of this solution should be very clear: Relic can still sell all the add-ons it wants without being at conflict with the competitive player base.
Players can still automatch in the casual mode also so it will remain possible to use the whole range of add-ons even for 1v1.
AND you know what? This would allow even competitive players to buy your stuff as well without causing trouble to the competitive environment which forums like this is supporting.
I for one am a casual player, but I occasionally like to try and compete. I considered buying the DLCs, but am hestitant now that I see what it is doing to the game. I'm sure there are many like me.
There may be quite some work in what I suggest, but I think it might dissolve the current resistance to DLC. |
Just had one too. Has been very rare so far, though. |
From this comment alone I can tell youre not playing CoH2 at high level. You can't "out-sweep" somebody that spams these mines all over the map. You're always gonna trip all over them, even if u detect a couple of them with your sweeper.
People should really stop justiying op mines by saying they can be sweepered, its just dumb.
You're just ranting and twisting my post.
