Thread: POV VOD of my coh2 games (still learning) 28 Nov 2013, 20:49 PM I watched some of it. It's POV all right, but IMO you should still do a commentary of some kind. I realise it's difficult because it takes away focus from your gameplay. But it's just not very informative for the viewer to watch you play with no added info. I suggest you either try to do a commentary on the fly. Or add a commentary later? Don't know if that would work, but it's not awfully interesting in the present version. In: COH2 Gameplay

The real issue to me is this scenario that happens all the time: Grens+MG vs 2xCons. Cons 1 gets suppressed in mtv range, you have to reposition to dodge molotov as I said above, while Cons 2 didn't get suppressed and closes in, waiting for you to reposition and throw mtv: you are forced to retreat the mg leaving your grens in 2vs1 No. You are only forced to reposition. The retreat is just your choice. Or a forced action on your part because you didn't react in time. I say all this is quite as it should be. And it makes no sense to pretend that MG+gren isn't a suitable match to two cons. Of course it is. It does depend on how you position them, obviously. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Assault grenades too potent at 45 munitions28 Nov 2013, 15:29 PM I've had entire con squads eliminated by it, yes. But it's a lot of ammo to the usually ammo-starved german player. I'd almost say it's a good bargain to trade a half-dead con squad for 45 ammo in the late game...(almost) Plus the wipe only succeeds if the soviet player isn't paying attention. So no, I don't think it needs change. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: MG 42 The Most Useless Unit In The Game28 Nov 2013, 10:39 AM So cons can run up to a MG42 and hurl a Molotov on it. Yes - it happens, but please don't pretend it's a 100% because it's not. I don't have stats on it, but in my experience it's more like 10%. What often happens, though, is that the MG is being charged by TWO or more cons from different positions and one of them pulls of a molotov. I think this is fair enough even if both cons are in the arc, but spread out. And btw.: frontal assault on MG Works for grens+nade as well. Where's the whining about that? In: COH2 Balance

Engies and Pios had det packs to blow them up if needed. I think satchels and arty did damage against them as well. The vire curse was from map design rather than a cause of strong tank traps. There were 3 funnels of death, tank traps or not, and were easy to defend. But that is almost also the case on several of the team maps in COH2. I repeat myself, but I think TTs are OK as they are (except for being doctrinal). If anyone has problems that a row of TTs can be penetrated by destroying just one TT, build a 2nd one behind. It's for free and takes Little time. If your engie-time is too costly for it, then you don't need TTs in the first place. In: COH2 Gameplay
