Thread: Sniper Balance25 Feb 2014, 10:59 AM I have to admit the biggest pain right now for me is to deal with Sniper heavy strats or Sniper + Clown car + Guard combo. I have some successes countering this with German Sniper but it doesn't always work. I'd like to see some damage potential on light vehicles (Scout cars) since they are pretty squishy. Thread: PPSH x3 Aftermath Update22 Feb 2014, 11:17 AM From what I had chance to play after recent patch it looks like the favourite thing for a Soviet player to do is to take 3-5 squads of Conscripts with PPSHs upgrade and just walk them into your Grens. I can see how this can be problematic but I think is time to learn crowd control guys and teach those Soviets a lesson. The upgrade is still not even remotely as powerful as it was before the nerf. We only see it a lot recently because it comes with this new popular and free commander. MG42 play is a key to defeat it. My usual build is Gren, MG42, Gren, Gren, Gren and then Sniper/ Mortar - into T2 In: COH2 Balance
Thread: PPSH x3 Aftermath Update21 Feb 2014, 15:16 PM I miss good old Shock spam. They were very easy to deal with and flamer halftruck got almost free run when they're used. Now you have to watch out for these pesky AT Nades. On the serious note however I think we need to adjust a bit as the new PPSH's aren't even remotely stronger then pre recent nerf ones. Not to mention that new German commander is very strong as well. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Radio Intercept21 Feb 2014, 15:12 PM I did play with it a lot and sometimes against it as well. The point is you never know the exact position of the mines anyway as mini map is quite small and it's really difficult to pin point the spot. Because this ability provide you with such an amount of information it's impossible to make note of everything that's going on even if you make deliberate attempt to do so. I didn't notice radio intercept affecting my German game style or outcome of the match at all. You could say it's good to know what your opponent is cooking but then again in CoH2 scouting is not as important as in lets say Starcraft. Majority of standard build orders is going to prepare you for everything your enemy will throw at you. I do think that German equivalent is much better and much stronger. It requires more of you to use it, yes but when you do so you're rewarded with better prise as it's literally a legal map hack of some sort or almost free recon plane you aren't be able to shoot down. Btw, enemy goes to t2 , they will have coutner against flame HT, + for another 20muni they get maphack for 15 sec.(sovie at gun vet1 ability- 1 min cd) German equivalent - Interrogation techniques is a real "legal map hack" as it actually does reveals where the units are. All you have to do is to pick a wounded guy and click ability on him. Do that every skirmish and suddenly you know everything your opponent does. Why don't we talk about this one for a while? The voice lines and minimap provide enough information for that. Please let us modify which notification show!
