Thread: Railway Arty11 May 2016, 23:04 PM Jump back to quoted post11 May 2016, 20:11 PMWygrif a vet 222 with a spotting scope can see into your base from the midfield on a number of maps... There aren't commanders with scopes and railway. But well recon + nuke is impossible to avoid on anything bigger than 1v1. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: (May Preview Mod) Penal Batalion11 May 2016, 13:00 PM Jump back to quoted post11 May 2016, 12:22 PMMyself Pg are more expensive, bleed harder especially with merge, come later thus usually will have to face vetted Penals and have a much higher tech cost. Of course pgs have higher tech costs, but you tech t2 anyways. Pgrens have -10% reduced reinforcement costs relative to production costs. penals don't. Pgrens wreck penals in mid and close range. Pgrens have grenades, Pgrens get schreck for late game purpose. Pgrens cost more, because pgrens are plain better than penals. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: (May Preview Mod) Penal Batalion11 May 2016, 11:55 AM Panzergrenadiers do well against penals, just place them in heavy cover if possible and they might even win a long range fight. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Panzerwerfer overnerfed11 May 2016, 11:49 AM Jump back to quoted post11 May 2016, 11:46 AMFalseAlarm https://www.coh2.org/topic/4307/company-of-heroes-2-changelog/post/515893 Oh. Then i see no reason to complain, based on my experience, the panzerwerfer is fine at it is. Keep in mind that it also deals suppression. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Panzerwerfer overnerfed11 May 2016, 11:45 AM When was this change? Can't find it in the may patch notes. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: (May Preview Mod) Penal Batalion10 May 2016, 11:23 AM Jump back to quoted post10 May 2016, 11:04 AMMyself Only they are not long range infantry. Long range infantry are weak close range. Penal are very good at all ranges... Yes and no, they lose against specialist cqc units like pgrens sturmpios in a close range situation. However the thing is, conscript suck at longrange, therefore soviets need maxims for long range situations leading to maxim spam. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: (May Preview Mod) Penal Batalion10 May 2016, 10:37 AM Penals are the long range non doc unit soviets need. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Bazookas6 May 2016, 09:52 AM They are cheap and weak. They have only 66% the strength of a schreck. that way, good tank micro and kiting would be rewarded. tiger has 45-50 range, zooks have 35. Therefore good tank micro is already rewarded. Also at 35 range their accuracy is 0,025, for instance they have a 65% chance to hit a tiger and 36% to penetrate, which means a zook has a 23% chance of dealing 80 damage at 35 range per shot. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Resource Caches5 May 2016, 12:22 PM Jump back to quoted post1 May 2016, 03:11 AMTaksin02 Caches = no scavenge and no vet5? In: COH2 Balance
Thread: The T34 shouldn't penetrate the ostheer PIV.5 May 2016, 11:48 AM Dude you are drunk, go home. P4 Armor 180 T34 Armor 150 T34 pen 120-80 p4 pen 120-100 p4 reload 5,5 t34 reload 6,5 (6,2 may patch) Chance for a p4 to pen a t34 66-80% Chance for a t34 to pen a p4 44-66% And these are just the base stats, iirc P4 gets armor buff at vet2 while a t34 never gets a penetration buff. T34 has much better AI (may) Someone calculated that the may patch mgs of the t34 are as good as the p4 mgs + the upgrade mg. Given the fact that the p4 main gun has faster reload, slight better aoe and slightly less scatter the p4 is still better AI unit. In: Scrap Yard
