Thread: Why are T-34 so flowery?25 Sep 2013, 05:40 AM You need to learn to use AT guns as primary AT. You CANNOT go T1-T3 unless you have a huge advantage early game. You must go T2-T3. Stop trying to use T34s are your primary AT. Of course a T34 gets stomped by a P4. It is cheaper and has a bias towards AI. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: Tiger needs a buff23 Sep 2013, 18:52 PM I think Tigers are pretty great as is. I use them all the time in 1on1s if the Russians go T3. If they are well supported with infantry and Paks, they can soak up a ton of damage. However, I really don't like the random chances caused by RAM and AT nades. I think faults, AT nades, and Rams should work 100% of the time against the rear of heavy tanks and 0% of the time against the front. This goes for all heavy tanks like the IS2, ISU152, and Elephant. I think tanks are fine now against infantry. If you penalize their accuracy more they will become useless against infantry because they have to keep moving to avoid panzerfaust and At nades. I think the current lack of scatter penalty while moving is good as is. I do think there should be some kind of penalty against AT gun crews though. It seems that tanks kill AT gun crews far more often than in vCOH (where the AT gun itself usually dies before the crew). In: COH2 Gameplay

A unit's cost-effectiveness is based on both it's AI and AT abilities. For example: a brumbar is about as expensive as a Panther, but is only good against infantry. The IS-2 is basically a Brumbar and a Panther combined with higher armor and much higher cost. I don't have an opinion on whether the new IS-2 is cost-effective or not yet, but that was not a convincing argument. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Very few cost effective counters to upgraded Grens20 Sep 2013, 06:59 AM I find that Grens with LMGs handily beat Shocks for cost over the long term in a war of attrition. Shocks cost almost as much as 2 Grens. Sure 2 sets of LMG42s are very expensive, but it's a one time fee in contrast to the constant man power drain of reinforcements. HMG42s were overnerfed. If they buff HMG42s back a bit, then lmg42s may be toned down. Pretty much every top German player now is going pure Gren spam now. In: COH2 Balance
